World Cup Fantasy expert differentials for Matchday 4

Last modified date

With the World Cup progressing, we look at World Cup Fantasy expert differentials for Matchday 4. That expert is the internationally clued-up Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor @FPLReaction.

The template appears to be taking form and although there are some risks going against well owned players, there is also huge reward when backing successful differentials. Looking at World Cup fantasy expert differentials for Matchday 4 can help get us ahead of the competition.

David Raum

At the time of writing, Germany are yet to progress to the next stage of the World Cup. However, if they do, it could be wise to invest in some of their cheap defensive options. One of those options is David Raum (9% owned).

Daid Raum costs just £4.5m. At such a cheap price at this stage in the competition, it could be difficult to exclude him. After already winning a penalty in the group stages, Raum has maintained a thrilling heatmap and fantastic key pass numbers. All of these factors add to his appeal whilst also enabling the pricier options within our fantasy teams.

Christian Pulisic

The USA’s increasingly exciting performances are starting to catch the eye. USA will face Netherlands in Matchday 4 and although the Dutch defence have only conceded one goal, it could have been more. The standout option for USA is Christian Pulisic.

Pulisic has 6% ownership. This means he is a differential. The midfielder takes penalties, set pieces and has already created an assist and scored a goal so far. Pulisic has plenty of routes to points and could take advantage of an open Dutch backline.

Davy Klassen

Netherlands have proven they can score goals and that could continue in Matchday 4 against USA. Finding cheap players will become more and more difficult as the tournament progresses but are vital in enabling the pricier options within our teams.

One player who has potential is Davy Klaassen (£6m). The midfielder has 6% ownership in the game. Klaassen has been a fantastic asset so far. The Dutchman has already bagged one goal and two assists in his first three matches.

Julian Alavarez

Argentina have progressed and face Australia in Matchday 4. Argentina have proved they can score goals and Australia have proved they can concede them. In fact, Australia conceded four goals against the current World Cup Champions in Matchday 1.

Striker Julian Alavrez (£6.5m) has 1% ownership in the game. Alavarez started the last match against Poland and scored. The striker could be the cheapest way into a fantastic attack. For that reason, could be considered as a great differential for the round ahead.
