Who qualified for the 23/24 Champions League
With the 22/23 European campaign over and Manchester City crowned champions, we take a look ahead at who qualified for the 23/24 Champions League. Some UCL Fantasy managers could be looking to enjoy their break whilst others could begin early planning, starting with the teams that have qualified for the new season.
Looking at who qualified for the 23/24 Champions League can be really helpful for UCL Fantasy managers. Knowing which teams to monitor up until the the start can give managers a great head start before the new campaign begins.
Pot 1
The teams in Pot 1 of the Champions League draw include:
- Sevilla
- Manchester City
- Barcelona
- Bayern
- Napoli
- PSG
- Benfica
- Feyenoord
As many are aware the current Champions Manchester City will go into competition as one of the favourites. League Champions in their respective countries Barcelona, Bayern, Napoli, PSG, Benfica and Feyenoord also make the cut.
Pot 2
The teams included in Pot 2 include:
- Real Madrid
- Manchester United
- Dortmund
- Atletico Madrid
- RB Leipzig
- Porto
- Arsenal
- Inter
Real Madrid became the Champions in the 21/22 campaign and they will be hoping for a more convincing season this time around. Many eyes will be on English side Arsenal who have been shy of Champions League football for some time. Porto and Dortmund will also be hoping to progress further this time around after successfully making it out of the groups in the most recent campaign.
Pot 3
Pot 3 is yet to be fully finalised. However, teams that look set include:
- FC Salzburg
- AC Milan
- Lazio
- Red Star Belgrade
- Shakhtar Donetsk
Salzburg became one of the best teams to invest in for budget players in the 21/22 season. Lazio also had an excellent season in Serie A. Many managers will be excited to see how they perform in their group. Fellow Italian side AC Milan will be hoping to continue a great couple of seasons in football and progress further than the semi-final this time.
Pot 4
The teams locked into Pot 4 of the Champions League draw include:
- Celtic
- Newcastle
- Union Berlin
- Lens
Celtic fans will be expecting a lot more from their domestic league champions this time around. They failed to make it out of the group stage in the 22/23 campaign. A lot of eyes will be on the performance of Newcastle who had a fantastic season in the English Premier League this season. French side Lens will also be an interesting watch. They pushed PSG for the Ligue 1 title up until the penultimate game of the season.
