Tracking the best ranked FPL managers in the world can really help us making future decisions within our own teams. In addition, it also gives us a good knowledge regarding ownership, captaincy and much more. Seeing what the top 10k did in Gameweek 17 can also be very insightful and managers can see which players will have a good or bad effect on their rank.

Ownership

Man City striker Erling Haaland remains the highest owned player in the game (99.69%). Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier is the highest owned defender in FPL (97%). Newcastle midfielder Miguel Alimiron also makes the top five highest owned players (79%).

Arsenal midfielder Gabriel Martinelli remains one of the highest owned players in the game with the likes of Man City defender Joao Cancelo and Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne.

Captaincy

95% of the top 10k managers have captained Erling Haaland. The striker has scored more goals than anyone else in the league. The only other player to hit 1% is Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah. The Egyptian faces a game against Aston Villa this week.

Manchester United midfielder Marcus Rashford has also become more appealing ahead of the festive period.

Chips

Fantasy Premier League provided managers with unlimited transfers ahead of the Gameweek 17. This meant that the wildcard was unavailable. The bench boost was activated more than any other chip this week. Less than 1% of managers used their Triple captain and Free hit chip.
