UCL Fantasy team and player form up to January 12th

Last modified date

The round of the last 16 in the Champions League is approaching fast. For that reason, we take a look into UCL Fantasy team and player form up to January 12th as most of the domestic leagues re-start after the winter World Cup.

Monitoring UCL Fantasy team and player form up to January 12th can be very beneficial to managers. Managers have unlimited transfers to build their squads for the round ahead, so keeping an eye on teams and players form will be key when it comes making a draft.

Real Madrid

Champions League holders Real Madrid face a tricky tie against Liverpool in the round of 16. The Spanish side have been reasonably strong since their restart. In the four matches they have played since the World Cup they have won three and lost one.

In that same four match period, Real Madrid have also kept two clean sheets whilst conceding three goals in total. Amongst their goals was Karim Benzema (€10.7m). The French striker started just three of those four matches but still managed four goals. Interestingly three of Benzema’s four goals were from the penalty spot.

Something also worth noting is that midfielder Vinicius Junior (€10m) started three of the same four matches and failed to return a goal contribution.

Napoli

Prior to the World Cup, Napoli were unbeaten in Serie A. Showing fantastic form throughout the season, the only team that could stop them was Liverpool. However, since their return, things haven’t gone to plan.

In the three matches they have played since the World Cup Final, Napoli lost two and won one. In those matches they also kept just one clean sheet whilst also conceding five goals. The Italian side did manage to net three goals.

One player who wasn’t amongst the goals was Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (€5.9m). The Champions League Fantasy favourite failed to pick up anything of significance and interestingly, even though on the pitch, did not take the penalty they won in their latest league match. The penalty was taken by midfielder Matteo Politano (€6.9m) and missed.

Amongst the goals they did score were strikers Victor Osimhen (€7.9m) and Gaicomo Raspadori (€7.2m) who both netted one each.

Porto

Porto have a very tough meeting against Italian side Inter in their last 16 match. The Portuguese side have maintained some great form since the World Cup. In fact, in the four matches they have played, they have won three and drawn one, remaining unbeaten.

It is also a huge boost that Porto managed to keep clean sheets in three of those four same matches, conceding just one goal in the process. This could be a good sign for defensive assets like Ivan Marcano (€4m) and Diogo Costa (€5.3m). However, both Zaidu (€4.7m) and David Carmo (€3.9m) failed to start any of their four matches.

In the four games they played, Porto bagged a massive 11 goals. One of the biggest contributors towards the goals was striker Mehdi Taremi (€7.7m). He created picked up an impressive four goals and two assists. Another key contributor was Otavio (€6.6m). The midfielder created three assists and scored to increase his stock.

AC Milan

It could be a tough task for AC Milan as they face Tottenham in the round of 16. Their form since the World Cup is concerning as they’ve only picked up one win in their four matches, losing two and drawing the other.

Of the same four matches, AC Milan failed to keep a single clean sheet, which is a concern, especially for those taking interest in left back Theo Hernandez (€5.9m). The Italian side have scored four goals though. Midfielder Sandro Tonali (€6.6m) scored one of them whilst also assisting two more.

Striker Rafael Leao (€8.5m) continued his good form scoring and assisting in the same four matches.
