UCL Fantasy how to gain rank in Matchday 13

Last modified date

With the final round of Champions league edging closer we take a look at how to gain rank in Matchday 13. From singular differentials and combination differentials to chips and differential captaincy, we pick out the best methods to climb the ranks or get an edge over our mini-league rivals in UCL Fantasy.

The Champions League final is days away and UCL Fantasy managers have one last chance to get ahead of their opponents. Looking at how to gain rank in Matchday 13 is crucial to making one last push and reaching our goals, but how do we do it?

Singular differentials

Single differentials are players with low ownership. These same players can help us gain rank. Some of those players with the most potential are listed below:

  • Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella (€7m).
  • Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu (€7.4m).
  • Inter striker Romelu Lukaku (€9m).
  • Inter striker Edin Dzeko (€7.5m).
  • Manchester City midfielder Rodri (€6.2m).
  • Manchester City midfielder Riyad Mahrez (€9.9m)
  • Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden (€8.2m).

Differential combinations

Although singular differentials can be effective in gaining rank, differential combinations can have a much bigger impact on rank. Some of the best differential combinations for Matchday 13 are as follows:

  • Owning 3-6 Inter defenders.
  • Owning 3-6 Inter attackers.
  • Owning 4-6 Manchester City defenders.
  • Owning five Manchester City attackers.

Captaincy

As fantasy managers know, captaincy can be absolutely detrimental to any given round in UCL Fantasy. The most captained player in the final will almost certainly be Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (€11.2m).

Backing against Haaland for the captaincy holds huge risk but if it goes to plan there could be huge reward. Some of the best differential captaincy options include the likes of Manchester City midfielders Kevin De Bruyne (€10.6m), Ilkay Gundogan (€8m) and Bernardo Silva (€8.3m).
