UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 9
We look at the UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 9. The new Champions League Fantasy round is coming quickly. Here we try and find some of the best lowly owned players within the game ahead of Matchday 9.
Finding the best differentials for Matchday 9 can be key to gaining rank early. For that reason, it’s really important to find some of those hidden gems within the game that most won’t select. This way we have an edge over our competition.
Goncalo Ramos
Benfica have drawn Inter in their quarter-final match. The Portuguese side are in fantastic form. In their last 10 matches in all competitions they have won nine and lost just once. Amongst that incredible run Benfica also netted a massive 27 goals which averages out at 2.7 goals scored per game.
Inter go into the game with a huge lack of confidence. Failing to win any of their last five matches in all competitions the Italian side have also conceded in four of them. One of the best differentials going into Matchday 9 could be Goncalo Ramos (€9m). Not only has the striker banked 17 goals and two assists this season in the league but he also racked up a 13-point return in his most recent Champions League game.
Jack Grealish
Another in-form team with plenty of UCL Fantasy options is Manchester City. They face German Giants Bayern in the next round and come into the game in great form. In their last 10 matches in all competitions they have won a huge eight times whilst remaining unbeaten.
In the same period as above Manchester City bagged a monstrous 32 goals making them one of the biggest scorers recently. Their opponent, Bayern, are fully capable of scoring goals but have shown defensive inconsistencies for most of the season.
The Manchester City attack could be deemed as a rotation risk, but Jack Grealish (€7.9m) has started the last five Premier League games and both of their round of 16 matches against Leipzig. The winger has been a bit of a slow burner but the recent goal and assist he produced in his last match could trigger a solid run of form.
Ben Chilwell
Chelsea have drawn current holders Real Madrid this week. Although tough the Blues have recently departed with manager Graham Potter. Frank Lampard has taken over as caretaker manager which could spark a new manager bounce within the side.
There have been defensive improvements lately which gives Ben Chilwell (€5.4m) clean sheet potential. Chelsea can also play with a wing-back system giving Chilwell the go ahead to advance into some of the most advanced positions on the pitch. With a lack of defensive options this week it could be wise to go for one with a high ceiling and Chilwell falls into that category.
Brahim Diaz
AC Milan may come up against a Napoli side maintaining some of the best form in Europe but they proved anything can happen in an Italian clash in their most recent game. Milan dismantled their upcoming opponents 4-0 in their domestic league last week.
One player who will go under the radar is Brahim Diaz (€6.2m). Diaz managed a goal and an assist against Napoli so he could repeat that in the upcoming match. Although labelled a rotation risk in the past, Diaz has started the last four matches in a row.
Differential combinations
At this level of the competition, single differentials (individual players) may not be enough to help gain rank. However, differential combinations could dramatically increase rank if successful. Some of those combinations could include:
- Double Chelsea defence.
- Double Real Madrid defence.
- AC Milan attackers/defenders.
- Inter attackers/defenders.
- Manchester City double defence/attack.
- Bayern defence/double attack.
