UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 7

Last modified date

We look at the UCL Fantasy best differentials for Matchday 7. The new Champions League Fantasy round is coming quickly. Here we try and find some of the best lowly owned players within the game ahead of Matchday 7.

Finding the best differentials for Matchday 7 can be key to gaining rank early. For that reason, it’s really important to find some of those hidden gems within the game that most won’t select. This way we have an edge over our competition.

Gonçalo Ramos

Benfica have sustained some of the best recent form in Europe. The Portuguese side have been relentless for most of the season and their Champions League group stage definitely caught the eye. They have averaged 1.8 goals scored per match in their last 10 games. This indicates investing in their attack a wise move.

Whilst many weigh in on the premium strikers a lot of managers will avoid investing in Gonçalo Ramos (€9m). In his 15 domestic league matches this season Ramos has managed a huge 12 goals and one assist. Against an inconsistent Club Brugge in the next round and having just 1% ownership, the Portuguese striker could be one of the best differentials for Matchday 7.

Son Heung-min

Many UCL managers will underestimate the Tottenham attack going into Matchday 7. Domestically they have had the second most shots on target in the Premier League this season whilst also ranking third for the most goals scored.

They face an AC Milan side who are in a torrid run of form. Winning just one of their last six matches and keeping one clean sheet the Italian side are really struggling for form in the build up to their tie against Tottenham. One player many will avoid is Son Heung-min (€10.5m). After bagging 23 goals in the Premier League this season Son has failed to continue that great form. However against a poor AC Milan defence he could well find it.

Dominic Szoboszlai

Leipzig have been an exciting watch this season domestically, especially as of late. The German side’s form has seen them sit just four points behind Bayern in the league. In their last 10 matches in all competitions they have won eight, drawn twice and remain unbeaten.

Within that same 10 match period Leipzig have also scored a massive 26 goals, averaging 2.6 goals scored per match. They face a Manchester City who although have plenty of quality, have been out of sorts. Dominic Szoboszlai (€7.5m) could be a great differential. The Hungarian midfielder has bagged three goals and eight assists domestically with three of his goal contributions coming in the last five matches.

Mehdi Taremi

The Portuguese teams continue to impress this season. In their last 10 matches Porto have won a huge nine times, drawing once. In the same period they also netted 24 goals, averaging 2.4 goals per match. This could indicate investing in their attack a wise move even with a game against Inter next up.

The main goal threat from Porto is without a doubt Mehdi Taremi (€7.7m). The Iranian striker has continuously proved to be one of the best around in the last 12 months. From scoring two goals and creating one assist in the World Cup to bagging five goals and two assists in his five Champions League games, Taremi is becoming the real deal. Considering all of the factors above, Taremi could be one of the best differentials in Matchday 7.
