Bukayo Saka should be fine for the weekend

Arsenal writer Connor Humm has tweeted that, despite having limped off after being substituted against Man United, Bukayo Saka is back in full training. Therefore, he should be fine for Sunday’s match at West Ham.

Initially, the comments of head coach Mikel Arteta were less clear cut. “Bukayo was struggling even to start the match, but he really wanted to do it. He had a big knock the other night and at one stage today he was struggling so we’ll see how he is.”

Yet the Gunners are now optimistic that he will start this crunch match in the race for fourth place.

Man United want to buy Kalvin Phillips

Now that Erik ten Hag has been secured as the Man United manager for next season, The Athletic reports that a move for Kalvin Phillips is gathering momentum. With Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic among the expected departures, central midfield purchases will be a top priority.

Although they have begun exploring the idea of a £50m Phillips transfer, there’s one big stumbling block. Leeds is his boyhood team and Man United are their hated rivals.

It could become one of the summer’s more interesting transfer sagas. Will Phillips follow in the footsteps of Alan Smith, push for a different club or stay with his beloved Leeds?
