Best picks from Spurs for DGW26
Double Gameweeks can make or break an FPL manager’s season. Get the picks right and a huge green arrow follows, get it wrong and it can really harm your overall rank. So who are the best picks for Double Gameweek 26?
Spurs have had a difficult last three games in the Premier League. Conte’s side have now failed to win since Gameweek 22 and even then it took two injury time goals to give them three points. Here we take a look at the best Lily Whites for the Double.
Underlying Stats
Harry Kane is the stand out pick for Spurs for expected goal involvement (xGI). He is also top for expected goals (xG) with Sergio Reguilon top for expected assists (xA).
Son Heung-min has returned the most goals for Spurs so far this season with nine. Kane has returned just 5, far lower than he had achieved a this stage last season. However, Kane had eight shots in Gameweek 25 which was three more than any other player across the Gameweek.
In the last six Gameweeks Kane is top for goal attempts with 31, 11 more than Cristiano Ronaldo who is second. Kane has also had six big chances in this period again more than other forward.
When compared to the other midfielders in the game Son is tied eighth for goal attempts with 13 in the last six Gameweeks. He has also registered 21 take ons in this period, only five midfielders have had more.
Defensively Spurs have struggled in recent weeks. In the five games this season where they have been without Eric Dier, Hojbjerg and Oliver Skipp Spurs have kept five clean sheets and have not conceded a single goal. However, in their absence in recent weeks through injury Spurs have conceded 13 goals in 7 matches where the three have failed to start.
Reguilon has been a slight rotation worry in recent weeks, however this appears to be about building his minutes on return from injury. Even with him averaging just two points per game since December his underlying stats still look fair. Reguilon is top for xA in the Spurs team and the imminent return of Dier to the starting XI Reguilon looks the best pick in defence.
Reguilon, Son and Kane therefore look the best picks for Spurs if you want to invest for Gameweek 26.

Ownership
The Spurs team offer FPL managers huge differential potential ahead of the Double Gameweek. Reguilon is the most heavily owned Spurs player owned by 15.9% of the game. Son and Kane are the only other Spurs players owned by more than 10% of the game. They are owned by 14.8% and 11.8% respectively.
Even the most popular Spurs assets therefore have the potential to bring good green arrows should they perform.
When you look at Son and Kane’s ownership in the top 10k they are good differentials. However, only 12 managers in the top 10K own them both. If they both return in Double Gameweek 26 these 12 managers should see excellent green arrows.
