Team Reveal GW31 – What will FPL Inzaghi do with Alexander-Arnold?

Last modified date

Each Gameweek brings an FPL community team reveal. As a result, that person gives insight into their transfers, captaincy and future plans.

Ahead of Gameweek 31, it’s the turn of FPL Inzaghi to tell us what he is doing to his team.

Hi FPL Inzaghi and thanks for the team reveal. Firstly, how did Gameweek 30 go?

No chip, no worries in Gameweek 30 with a score of 62 poins (with just seven players) seeing me climb up the rankings from 140k to 116k. Thanks largely to owning both Son Heung-min and Harry Kane, I made one free transfer to bring in Harvey Barnes for the Covid-stricken Raphinha.

Secondly, do you like your current squad? Who is a player you’d like to own but don’t?

I was hoping to roll my transfer this week but news of Trent Alexander-Arnold being out with a hamstring injury has scuppered my plans. With his likely absence, I’m forced to field both Conor Coady and Max Kilman – the latter is not even guaranteed a start in the Wolves team.

There are three main players I’d like to own – Andrew Robertson, Joao Cancelo and Reece James. Each have their own considerations: will Cancelo be rested against Burnley prior to a hectic run of Champions League, Premier League and FA Cup matches? How many minutes can James play following his return from injury? Is Robertson capable of covering Trent – as that is the only way I can fund the move.

So what are your transfer plans for Gameweek 31 and beyond?

I will wait on the press conferences before confirming my moves but at this stage I have two potential plans in mind. Firstly, replacing Trent with one of the three premium defenders named above. Secondly, a four-point hit where Trent becomes Cancelo or James, then Armando Broja becomes Wout Weghorst.

Taking the hit means I’d be benching Barnes away to Manchester United and – whilst Burnley aren’t the greatest attacking team – they double in Gameweeks 31, 33 and potentially 34.

And finally, what about captaincy?

Fairly straightforward one this week – Mohamed Salah at home to Watford. Kane gets the vice-captaincy.

Good luck and thank you for the team reveal!
