Last modified date

Players

Fantasy Premier League Tips: The community provide 11 players to make your Gameweek 1 team for the Fantasy Premier League 2019/20 season!

The community players selection allow for a 4-3-3 formation for the Gameweek 1 tips, which comes well within the Fantasy Premier League budget

Before checking out the community players, make sure that you join the community in our Mini League. Prizes will be revealed within the next week! To be a part of The FF Community Shield, with scoring from Gameweek 1, manually enter our league code: gim566. FPL Mini League

1. Tom Heaton / Nick Pope (4.5) – Goalkeeper, Burnley

Our first players come as a pair: Burnley’s goalkeepers Heaton and Pope. They both come in at a budget friendly price and should improve this season after a disastrous Europa League last campaign. We don’t know which is first choice right now, but hopefully they can regain their reliability of previous seasons. https://twitter.com/fpl_fc/status/1144979211892883456?s=21

2. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (5.5) – Defender, Manchester United

The best of last seasons bargain players has moved to a top six side and has had a significant price increase. If Ole Gunnar Solskjaer can boost spirits at Old Trafford this season, Wan-Bissaka could be a great selection: a budget price entry into a premium defence, with bonus points on tap for the right-back who’s never passed.

3. Benjamin Mendy (6.0) – Defender, Manchester City

Mendy was the defender to own in the early weeks of last season, with some big double digit hauls. Things went south once more as the season progressed, but he could reclaim his premium status for the Fantasy Premier League 2019/20. Zinchenko and new signing Angelino are both waiting in the wings.

4. Lucas Digne (6.0) – Defender, Everton

Everton have a cracking set of opening fixtures, facing no top six sides in their first six matches. Of all their players, it’s Lucas Digne grabbing most of the headlines. His creativity was excellent last season and the Toffees ended last season in great form, with multiple clean sheets.

5. Matt Ritchie (5.5) – Defender, Newcastle United

Matt Ritchie is one of the players who has had a position reclassification this season, after playing a number of games at wing-back. With VAR about to rock the Fantasy Premier League 2019/20 season, Ritchie could capitalise as the only penalty taking defender.

6. Jorginho (5.0) – Midfielder, Chelsea

Another player set to capitalise is Jorginho – with Eden Hazard departed for Real Madrid, the Chelsea man at a budget price could start delivering some attacking returns in the form of spot kicks. Could he take after his predecessor and new manager, Frank Lampard?

7. Gylfi Sigurdsson (8.0) – Midfielder, Everton

The penalty takers are quite literally taking over: but that isn’t the only string to Gylfi Sigurdsson’s bow. He ended last season as the 5th highest scoring midfielder, after missing 3 spot kicks, so the points potential could be even bigger this season. Don’t forget about those fabulous fixtures.

8. Ayoze Perez (6.5) – Midfielder, Leicester City

Ayoze Perez was already gaining momentum as one of the fantasy players on many watchlists for this season. His big money move to Leicester City has fuelled the fire even further – could he make a mockery of his reclassification as a midfielder and continue in the rich vein of form that he starter the year with?

9. Jamie Vardy (9.0) – Forward, Leicester City

Joining him in the Leicester City attack is the main man Vardy. He was utterly rejuvenated when Brendan Rodgers took the reins at the King Power Stadium and the statistics ring true for his points potential. Don’t forget that he could be designated penalty taker too!

10. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (11.0) – Forward, Arsenal

Yet another man on spot kicks? Aubameyang has caught the eye of FPL Partridge. He may be getting overlooked by many in the community, but last seasons Golden Boot winner has a more impressive touch-map than Raheem Sterling. Should he be in your watchlist?

11. Josh King (6.5) – Forward, Bournemouth

Finally, the big bandwagon in the FPL Community is Bournemouth’s Josh King. The Cherries penalty taker was the only one of their key attackers not to get a price hike, and he faces two promoted sides in his opening two games. Surely he’s worth a punt?
