Most popular transfers ahead of Gameweek 14
Watching the transfer market is one of the biggest parts of FPL management. Ensuring that your players don’t drop in price and cost you team value is key. We assess the transfer market and the most popular transfers ahead of Gameweek 14. The Official FPL website offers lots of information, including for the round ahead.
Players rise and fall in price in FPL based on the number of transfers in or out they have. Here we look at who were the most popular transfers ahead of Gameweek 14 deadline.
Top transfers in
The in-form Newcastle midfielder Miguel Almiron (£5.5m) is the most popular transfer in with over 800,000 transfers in. The attacker has now hit back-to-back double-digit haul in the last two matches. This seems to have led to a surge in his popularity.
Tottenham forward Harry Kane is the second most popular transfer. The £11.5m premium striker has been brought in by over 300,000 managers. Kane’s consistency has resulted in him becoming the second highest scoring player in FPL currently.
Man City midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (£12.4m) is the third most transferred in player. The Belgian has banked returns in eight of his 11 matches so far this season.
Top transfers out
Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah’s (£12.8m) disappointing FPL form continues. The premium has now blanked in the last two matches. This has led to nearly 280,000 managers selling the Egyptian. Brighton man Pascal Groß (£5.6m) started the season in style. The midfielder managed three returns in his first four matches. However, it has now been five matches until he last returned anything significant.
The injured Chelsea star Reece James (£5.9m) has been shipped out by over 260,000 FPL managers. His injury has put him out until after the World Cup. The defender has been below many managers expectations this season.
