Most popular buys for Gameweek 6
With the Premier League transfer window closing this evening FPL managers are excited about some of the potential new additions to the game. However, it’s not just the Transfer Window which is busy, the FPL transfer markets are awash with activity ahead of the deadline. We take a look at the most popular buys for Gameweek 6.
Incoming players
With a further game to be played in Gameweek 5 there have been a large number of transfers made already. After his back-to-back hat-tricks in Gameweeks 4 and 5 Erling Haaland (£11.7m) is unsurprisingly the most popular transfer in so far. The forward has over 357,000 new managers. His ownership has risen from 68.6% at the start of Gameweek 5 to 72.1% so far.
Even after blanking in Gameweek 5 Pascal Gross is still the second most popular transfer in with over 245,000 new managers. Wilfried Zaha’s (£7.1m) goal in Gameweek 5 has seen him earn a further 235,000 managers.
Outgoing players
Injuries seem to be a big catalyst for transferring players out ahead of Gameweek 6. Three of the top four transfers out are flagged in the game. Leeds’ Rodrigo (£6.5m) injured his shoulder in Gameweek 5 which leaves him a doubt ahead of Saturday’s match against Brentford. Over 530,000 managers have parted company with Rodrigo.
Reece James (£6.1m) missed Tuesday’s trip to Southampton with illness. However, over 335,000 aren’t waiting to see if the Chelsea man has recovered for their match against West Ham and have transfered out the defender.
Flagged Zinchenko is the fourth most transferred out player with over 196,000 managers selling him.
Ivan Toney’s expected goals in Gameweeks 1-3 was 1.41, this has fallen to 0.49 in the last two Gameweeks. As a result of his back-to-back blanks over 200,000 managers have sold the forward.
