LiveFPL Rank Tiers – GW34 autosubs and chip usage

Last modified date

Gameweek 34 is almost over, therefore we can use LiveFPL rank tiers to analyse the decisions made by FPL managers.

Autosubs made

With the statuses of Antonio Rudiger and Reece James still unknown for Thursday’s match against Man United, the highest-profile FPL absences for Gameweek 34 were Newcastle pair Fabian Schar and Chris Wood. Bought by over 800,000 managers before their wins of Double Gameweek 33, Eddie Howe rested a few players when visiting Norwich.

Almost 16% of the top 10k received Armando Broja‘s one point as an autosub. 10.88% were at least able to get an assist from Wout Weghorst. Overall, the lack of Michail Antonio, Bernardo Silva, Sergio Reguilon and Phil Foden also forced some replacements.

Chip usage of rank tiers

The Wildcard has been activated by a lot of the FPL community this week. With the back-to-back Double Gameweeks 36 and 37 almost locked in, managers have been strategising to make the most of all remaining chips. There has even been slight usage of Free Hit this time.

Top 10k template

Despite all the top 10k Wildcards, there are only two changes to their template. Chelsea pair Mason Mount and Kai Havertz enter, replacing Son Heung-min and James Maddison in midfield. Whilst the ditching of Son seems harsh, he justified it with a second successive blank. Spurs have now gone two matches without a shot on target, which will concern owners of Harry Kane and Dejan Kulusevski.

A starting XI with Aaron Ramsdale, Schar, James and Broja on the bench and Mohamed Salah captain would currently be on 69 points, with the Chelsea two to play again in midweek.
