GW12 Team Reveal – FPL Differential King

Last modified date

Each gameweek, a member of the FPL community will kindly reveal their immediate plans and give us some insight into their decision-making process.

Ahead of Gameweek 12, it’s the turn of FPL Differential King to tell us what he intends to do with his team.

Hi, FPL Differential King. So how did your Gameweek 11 go?

My team scored 41 points and got a red arrow, unfortunately. Kai Havertz and Trent Alexander-Arnold did well for me. Opting against a Mohamed Salah captaincy was risky but could have worked, had I not put the armband on Ivan Toney‘s blank instead!

Are you pleased with your current squad?

I think my team looks pretty well set up with no major issues, although the big problem is not including anyone from Man City. Having five playing defenders is a nice situation to be in – especially with an intense December coming up – and having one premium striker gives the long-term flexibility of moving that option around depending on fixtures and form.

What are your transfer plans for Gameweek 12 and beyond?

My immediate plan is to sell Havertz because Romelu Lukaku is back from injury, so he won’t be playing up front anymore. There are a few potential replacements that interest me, like Conor Gallagher, Wilfried Zaha and Emile Smith-Rowe. After that, I am looking to fix the Man City problem. Joao Cancelo has been in amazing form this season, although the crazy schedule we’re about to enter may make it a bit risky going for an attacking option. Phil Foden is certainly on my radar, though.

And finally, what about captaincy?

Even though I have tweeted about always captaining Salah, I plan on going against him one more time. However, unlike Toney, surely Harry Kane is a safe option. He looks like he has gained confidence from bagging two hat-tricks during the international break, regardless of the quality of opposition. I trust him to score against Leeds on Sunday.
