The best free hit team
Using the Live FPL website we can use one of its fantastic tools to plan transfers weeks in advance. Not just this, but we can also create team drafts to plan for using a chip. Take a look at the best free hit team for Gameweek 37:
Goalkeepers
Manchester United have a double Gameweek against two inconsistent teams in the round ahead. The Reds have also managed to keep 16 clean sheets this campaign. This indicates that investing in David De Gea (£5.1m) could be a wise move.
In the unlikely event that De Gea fails to feature in Gameweek 37 then Leicester’s cheap enabling Daniel Iverson (£3.9m) will step in.
Defenders
Liverpool have a single Gameweek in the round ahead but they also have one of the best distributors in the league. Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.7m) has managed a return in eight of his last 10 matches. The in-form full-back also dominates key distribution points amongst defenders this season.
Manchester City have been sustaining some of the best defensive data in the division this campaign. Whilst rotation could be rife in their double Gameweek, their most reliable option at the back could be Ruben Dias (£6m).
Brighton also have both a double Gameweek and maintained great defensive stats this season. Their standout option is Pervis Estupinan (£4.9m). The full-back bagged a monstrous 17-point haul in his most recent match consisting of a goal, an assist and a clean sheet, highlighting his multiple routes to points.
Some could question the inclusion of a Chelsea defender. However, the fact they have a double Gameweek is too tempting to disregard. Centre-back Benoit Badiashile (£5m) looks nailed in terms of minutes and he also bagged a goal in one of his most recent matches.
Unlikely to feature and enabling money elsewhere within the squad is Wolves defender Toti Gomes (£3.9m).
Midfielders
Manchester United have a very good double Gameweek from an offensive point of view. One of the teams they face, Chelsea, have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 matches whilst their other opponent, Bournemouth, rank the worst team in the league for shots in the box conceded (384) and shots on target conceded (193). Because of this and their overall form Marcus Rashford (£7.2m) who has bagged 16 goals in the league this season and penalty taker Bruno Fernandes (£9.4m) makes the cut.
Brighton may play Manchester City but they also face Southampton in Gameweek 37. The Saints are officially relegated after a torrid season. The Brighton frontline have maintained some great stats all campaign and rank amongst the best five teams for the majority of the key attacking data points. Because of this and their fixtures it could be worth doubling up on their offensive line with Kaoru Mitoma (5.7m) and Alexis Mac Allister (£5.6m). The latter takes his sides penalties and also edges his offensive teammates for non-penalty expected goal involvement in the last six Gameweeks.
This season Manchester City rank first for goals scored (92) and first for big chances total (126). Because of this and their double Gameweek, it could be worth investing in one of their midfielders. The most efficient option per 90 minutes could be Riyad Mahrez (£7.4m). The Algerian has banked a return in each of his last four games.
Forwards
Manchester City’s double Gameweek make it next to impossible to leave out Erling Haaland (£12.2m). The Norwegian has amassed a whopping 36 goals this season. He is also the standout captaincy option for the round ahead.
Two forwards sit on the bench ready but are unlikely to feature. One of them is Dominic Solanke (£5.7m) who is the focal point to his sides attack and takes penalties. The other player joining Solanke on the bench is Carlos Vinicius (£5.4m). The Fulham striker has picked up three returns in his last four games.
