Gameweek 22 Form Vs Fixture Charts

Gameweek 22

With a break in the schedule, we study the form and fixture charts for Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 22.

Daily Fantasy Football - Starting11.io

With fantasy managers looking to activate their wildcards, the Gameweek 22 charts are telling for the must have premium players.

Gameweek 22

Front Runners

It’s Manchester United and Spurs that are tied in first place at the top of the Gameweek 22 charts. Manchester United are unbeaten under Solskjær, with just one tough game in their next 4. Spurs are in a similar situation, with three excellent results and that odd home defeat to Wolves. Manchester United have scored 14 goals and conceded 3 in their last 4 games, with one clean sheet. It’s the attack of most interest: Paul Pogba (8.4) is the key acquisition here and central to all United’s plays. Marcus Rashford (7.2) appears to have nailed down an attacking role, plus he has some set piece responsibility too, coming in at a bargain price. The defence isn’t yet showing the necessary consistency, but Luke Shaw (4.9) and Victor Lindelof (4.8) do carry budget friendly price tags for those looking at taking a punt once their tricky Gameweek 22 fixture is over. Spurs have scored 15 goals and conceded 3 in their last 4 games, keeping two clean sheets. Heung-Min Son will be departing for the Asian Games after their Gameweek 22 fixture, and it remains to be seen how much of a loss he will be to their attack. Harry Kane (12.6) has now returned in his last 10 Premier League starts, providing great consistency. Those who can’t afford his steep price tag should consider Dele Alli (8.9) who could benefit in Son’s absence. With 9 clean sheets for the season, the defence could justify their price over this upcoming spell, with Hugo Lloris (5.4) and Kieran Trippier (6.1) the players to consider here: Trippier has 1 goal and 5 assists this season.

Form Team

Outside of our front-runners, it’s Liverpool who are the next best team in terms of their form. They’ve started scoring a significant number of goals in their games: with 12 goals scored and just 3 conceded in their last 4 games. It’s only the narrow defeat to Manchester City which hampers their rating. With 4 reasonable upcoming fixtures, many managers will be tempted to move for a triple up, especially with Mo Salah (13.3) finally answering his critics in terms of justifying his price tag. Sadio Mane (9.5), Roberto Firmino (9.2) and Xherdan Shaqiri (7.1) are all in the frame for those wanting an additional attacking player. A defender is essential, with a double up here looking tempting: Andrew Robertson (6.6) is still the standout, but it might be worth picking up Trent Alexander-Arnold (5.2) or Dejan Lovren (4.9) if you are short on cash.

Fixture Team

Everton lead the way for upcoming fixtures, with 3 out of 4 of their upcoming fixtures rated as a 2. Their form is a little shaky, with 7 goals scored and 9 conceded in their last 4 games: they did fall victim to a particularly congested festive schedule. Clean Sheets will be difficult to come by, so it’s attacking returns that FPL managers will chase from Gameweek 22. Those managers losing faith in Gylfi Sigurdsson (7.3) and Richarlison (6.9) would be wise to hold them for a while longer. If Lucas Digne (5.2) retains a wing back position in most games, plus set piece responsibility, then the points will continue to roll in.
