Gameweek 12 Team 2019/20

Last modified date

With a big green arrow last weekend, there’s hope for further progress from the Gameweek 12 team.

There’s just one free transfer to work with, and Mason Mount flagged with an ankle injury picked up in Chelsea’s 4-4 draw against Ajax in the Champions League.

Gameweek 11 Review

Gameweek 11 suffered another captaincy blank, with Raheem Sterling picking up a yellow card to worsen the pain. The softener here was that the Triple Captain chip was considered and so, there was plenty of relief that I didn’t go with that decision in the end. The lesson has been learnt here, with no plans to deploy that chip outside of a Double Gameweek this season. Lord Lundstram was the talk of the weekend and I was very pleased that I started him – he’s reaching fixture proof status, as the highest scoring defender in the game. Sadio Mane and Trent Alexander-Arnold left it late, but duly delivered attacking returns. Tammy Abraham and new acquisition Jamie Vardy, delivered vital fantasy returns. Gameweek 11 Review

Gameweek 12 Team

It’s a tricky time for the Gameweek 12 Team, with numerous directions to head in. Flexibility is limited, with no easy move to get in key targets Jimenz or Soyuncu with just the one free transfer available. There’s also the lure of saving the free transfer to gain greater options after the International Break. A strong bench will be needed going into the festive period. Erik Pieters is on borrowed time, he looks to be losing his place. Grant Hanley has been permanently injured and will need to be moved on too. Added to the mix, Mason Mount has an injury. Having bought Mount at £6.6 million, there’s some value tied up in him there, so he’s likely to be retained if the injury isn’t long-term: he’s great value. There’s some frustration in premium players, particularly Kevin De Bruyne and Raheem Sterling whose upcoming fixtures are poor. Moving one on for a Leicester midfielder doesn’t seem like a priority this week, but it does make the captain decision tricky. It was between Vardy and Abraham, with Vardy having the better form and a higher points ceiling – don’t be put off by the fixture. Gameweek 12 Team Lineup The team is ranked at 1,095,115 with 581 points. All chips are still in tact, except the wildcard. Team value lies at £103.5 million, with £0.1 million in the bank.
