GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 25

Last modified date

We go through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 25 using stats, form and fixture ahead. After an exciting Gameweek 24, we look ahead to the new round. Gameweek 25 starts on the 29th of December. This means managers have little time to get their teams ready.

Going through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 25 can be hugely beneficial. As fantasy managers we are always looking for players who could do really well in the next round. For that reason, picking out some of the best assets for the Gameweek ahead can be detrimental to chase down the competition.

Troy Deeney

Birmingham have had a much better start to the season than many fans expected as they sit 10th in the Championship. Although they are capable of shipping goals, they’ve also proved they can score them as they have managed to bag two goals or more in three of their last five matches.

They face a very poor Hull in Gameweek 25. Hull have been one of the worst defences in the league which has led to their slump down to 21st in the league. Hull have been woeful at the back and that can be reflected in the fact they have conceded two or more goals in a whopping 13 matches this season. This indicates that they are a team to target.

Troy Deeney (£6m) may be 34-years-old but he showed he still has it in his most recent match against Reading. The striker picked up a brace and also takes his teams penalties. With huge confidence going into a match against Hull, Troy Deeney could have huge potential in Gameweek 25.

Manuel Benson

Burnley continue their surge to promotion as they sit first in the Championship. Prior to their cup match against Manchester United the league leaders managed to score two goals or more in seven matches in a row, a clear sign that their offensive line is worth investment.

Stoke lay ahead for Burnley in Gameweek 25. Conceding two goals or more in 10 of their matches so far, Stoke have to be considered as a team to target. One way to do this would be to invest in Manuel Benson (£7.7m). The midfielders form has seen him hit more than 100 points in GAFFR this season. Some of those points consist of the six goals and two assists that Benson has created in his last 10 matches.

Viktor Gyökeres

Coventry are becoming an exciting team to monitor. A huge factor as to why that is the case is the fact their recent string of positive results have pushed them from rock bottom up to eighth in the Championship.

Cardiff lay ahead for Coventry. The Welsh side are 20th in the league and have failed to maintain any sort of consistency all season. On top of that, Cardiff have also lost six times in their last 10 matches whilst keeping just two clean sheets.

The standout option in the progressing Coventry attack is, without a doubt, Viktor Gyökeres (£8.1). The striker is currently the highest scoring player in the league and has managed seven goals and one assist in his last 10 matches. With a double Gameweek coming up, now is the time to invest for managers that have not already.

Ross Stewart

Sunderland have impressed since their promotion up to the Championship. One thing they have shown is the ability to score goals and break teams down. In fact, they have only failed to score in two of their last 10 matches and converted against some of the toughest teams in the league. Those teams include Sheffield United, Watford and Burnley.

The newly promoted side face another newly promoted side in Gameweek 25. Wigan have failed to find consistency and the Championship is proving too difficult. In fact, in their last 10 matches they have won just one match, lost seven and averaged 1.8 goals conceded per match. Wigan have to be considered as a team to target.

It could be a good week for strikers in GAFFR. One way into the the Sunderland attack is Ross Stewart (£6.6m). Prior to his injury, Stewart managed an impressive five goals and three assists in the seven matches he played.
