FPL Position Changes for 2023/24
Every season some players have FPL position changes. This reflects where they spend the majority of their game time for their clubs. Here we have the full list of all of the players who have changed position this season.
There are 11 players who have FPL position changes for the 2023/24 season. The majority of them have moved from being a forward in the game to being a midfielder.
Forward to Midfielder
Diogo Jota (LIV) from Forward to Midfielder
Kai Havertz (ARS) from Forward to Midfielder
Richarlison (TOT) from Forward to Midfielder
Bryan Mbeumo (BRE) from Forward to Midfielder
Julio Enciso (BRI) from Forward to Midfielder
Brennan Johnson (NOT) from Forward to Midfielder
Jota, Havertz, Richarlison, Mbeumo, Johnson and Enciso where all listed as forwards in FPL during the 22/23 season. For the 23/24 season they will now be available as midfielders. This means that they will benefit from the additional points for goals and clean sheets.
Midfielder to Forward
Cody Gakpo (LIV) from Midfielder to Forward
Yoane Wisse (BRE) from Midfielder to Forward
Gakpo and Wisse have gone the other way. The Liverpool man and Brentford player have been reclassified as forwards for the new season. They have effectively swapped places with Jota and Mbeumo.
Defender to Midfielder
Sergi Canos (BRE) from Defender to Midfielder
Matt Richie (NEW) from Defender to Midfielder
There are two players in the game who were a defender last season and are now in midfield. Canos for Brentford and Ritchie for Newcastle.
Midfielder to Defender
Lewis Hall (CHE) from Midfielder to Defender
It is only Chelsea’s Lewis Hall who has been reclassified as a defender having been a midfielder last season.
