FPL GW34 Transfers: All about Chelsea

Last modified date

A look at which Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have had the most transfers in and out so far this Gameweek.

FPL Transfers

These are the most bought and sold players so far, as of Friday afternoon. Furthermore, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 11:00 (GMT) on Saturday 23 April.

Unsurprisingly, as one of only two sides with a Double Gameweek, FPL managers are stocking up on Chelsea options. Four of the seven most-bought players represent the Blues, led by Mason Mount.

In the Mount vs Kai Havertz debate, the former tends to play more minutes and, in all competitions, has five goals and seven assists from his last ten matches. Chelsea face West Ham (H) and Man United (a) this week, following their 4-2 midweek defeat to Arsenal.

Also from Thomas Tuchel’s side are Timo Werner and Reece James. Do not adjust your eyes, yes that is actually Timo Werner. He has long been a dirty name within the FPL community but the last four matches have seen four goals and three assists. Certainly, those activating a chip this week could have a fantastic differential on their hands.

Chelsea’s defence has been very popular all season, thanks to 14 clean sheets and 39 attacking returns. Attacking wing-back James has registered several huge hauls this season but – for a variety of reasons – has only once scored more than a single point since Gameweek 18. Furthermore, Tuchel seems to like him as a centre-back option.

Also highly bought are Teemu Pukki and Mohamed Salah. Norwich’s forward has four goals from his last six games. Despite Norwich’s likely relegation and average set of fixtures, the fact that Pukki knows what a goal looks like puts him far ahead of most other FPL strikers right now.

As for Salah, his 19-point haul against Man United proved you should never doubt him. A home meeting with Everton is a prime opportunity for another big return.

Briefly back to Chelsea, it seems like Antonio Rudiger is an injury doubt for this Double Gameweek, hence being sold by over 100,000 managers. Then there’s Arsenal pair Bukayo Saka and Alexandre Lacazette. The former is cheap, scored in midweek and isn’t injured – a strange sale. However, Lacazette was already out of form and may now have lost his place to Eddie Nketiah.

Harry Kane hasn’t scored in four matches, although seven assists have arrived in that time. Then there’s James Maddison. Bought by many for Double Gameweek 33, his inevitable rest came in Leicester’s first outing, before blanking in the second. It has become clear that the Europa Conference League is their priority and league minutes will be handled accordingly. Combine that with the similarly-priced Chelsea alternatives, it’s an easy switch for many.
