FPL GW33 Transfers: Maddison and Spurs in, injured defenders out

Last modified date

A look at which Fantasy Premier League (FPL) players have had the most transfers in and out so far this Gameweek.

FPL Transfers

These are the most bought and sold players so far, as of Friday afternoon. Furthermore, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 11:00 (GMT) on Saturday 16 April.

Hours away from the Double Gameweek 33 deadline, only two of the week’s most-bought players will be playing twice. James Maddison and Fabian Schar are the pair, with Leicester and Newcastle ranking top of Fantasy Football Scout’s Fixture Ticker for this week.

For Maddison and his team mates, selection could depend on how tired they are from Thursday’s Europa Conference League victory against PSV Eindhoven. Still, he has produced five attacking returns from his last seven league outings. Almost 300,000 purchased him ahead of Gameweek 32 and over 250,000 will do this time.

As for Schar, the Magpies have generally been a much more solid defence since January signings arrived. Alongside four clean sheets from 11 matches, centre-back Schar has ventured forward to score twice and assist once. In fact, only Antonio Rudiger has had more shots amongst defenders since Gameweek 27.

Elsewhere, Ivan Toney‘s great form is making waves within the FPL community. The forward has six goals and two assists from his last five appearances, benefitting hugely from the presence of Christian Eriksen behind him. Brentford play just once but it happens to be away at Watford.

With four of Spurs’ last seven matches ending in a winning margin of at least four goals, it’s no surprise to see Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski being heavily-bought. The former has a phenomenal six goals and 48 FPL points during the last three games. Kulusevski has only blanked once from seven.

Some of the most-sold assets are easily explained. Philippe Coutinho is out of form and doesn’t even play this week, whilst the season is over for injured north London full-backs Matt Doherty and Kieran Tierney.

However, it’s the second successive week where Mohamed Salah is getting big sales. With a slight dip in form – by his standards – he has a good record against Gameweek 33 opponents Man United. After that, Liverpool fixtures are great until the very end.

Watford forward Emmanuel Dennis has recently lost his place in the line-up. But the injury to Cucho Hernandez could see him return.
