A look at the latest rumours and bits of gossip that the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) community is talking about.

Antonio Conte “really frustrated” at Spurs and suggests he could leave
Remarkably, Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte could already be offering to quit following his side’s fourth defeat from five matches. The melodramatic Italian jubilantly claimed a few days ago that “this group of players is fantastic” and “one of the best I’ve worked with”. Yet last night’s 1-0 defeat at Burnley brought an entirely different mood.
“I came here to help the club and if the problem could be the coach I’m ready to go, no problem. I am not used to this situation. And I am trying everything but the situation is not changing. I am available and open with the club to do what the club wants.
“For me the situation is unacceptable. To lose four of five for Tottenham has to be a disaster. I came in to try to improve the situation. Maybe in this moment I am not so good to improve the situation. I am too honest to close my eyes and continue in this way.”
Whether he actually means this or not, it’s hard to say. It’s certainly a run of form that could make FPL managers think twice about purchasing both Son Heung-min and Harry Kane.
Midfielder Emile Smith Rowe could be deployed as a forward
At Arsenal, Emile Smith Rowe’s recent time on the bench has coincided with fellow FPL bargain Gabriel Martinelli getting a run in the starting 11. With Martinelli suspended at the weekend, Smith Rowe started and scored his ninth league goal of the season.
Mikel Arteta suggests that the 21-year-old may be used up front in place of Alexandre Lacazette, unleashing an extremely youthful attack with Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard.
Arteta said: “I think Smith Rowe can play in four positions. He can play as a left-winger, he can play as a left attacking midfielder, right attacking midfielder and he can play as a nine – very well, I think.”
Perhaps tonight’s line-up against Wolves will try this out but he could also be thinking out loud about next season, once Lacazette’s contract has expired.
