FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 28

Last modified date

We take a look at some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 28. With the new round approaching, we check out what some of the most elite managers have been talking about in the build up to the latest round of Fantasy Premier League.

Looking at what some of the FPL experts ahead of Gameweek 28 are talking about could be highly beneficial to other managers. Whether they discuss expected minutes, potential transfer targets, chip strategy or other key factors, it can all help to provide clarity within our own teams.

@LetsTalk_FPL

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager has been pondering on his transfers for Gameweek 28 already. One of the the moves he is planning involves Manchester City striker Erling Haaland (£12.2m).

Haaland has been relentless this season notching up a colossal 203 points in FPL so far. The Norwegian does not face a fixture this week so many could be looking to switch him out for one of the options Andy has mentioned below.

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and experienced FPL manager Andy highlighted one player who could be at the top of everyone’s shopping list. Chelsea have returned to their wing-back system as of late. This allows their wing-backs to get into some of the most advanced positions on the pitch.

One of those wing-backs is Reece James (£5.8m). The English international continues to pick up injuries whilst his teammate Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) maintains fitness. Chilwell has been directly involved in four of Chelsea’s last six goal, emphasising his impact. He faces Everton in Gameweek 28 and then a double Gameweek after that so many could be looking to bring him in.

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager Calvin picked up a huge topic within the community this week. Liverpool have been inconsistent for most of the season. That can be reflected in the fact that they beat Manchester United 7-0 in Gameweek 26 then lost 1-0 to promoted team Bournemouth in Gameweek 27.

Managers that held assets like striker Darwin Nunez (£8.8m), defender Trent Alexander-Arnold (£7.3m) and midfielder Mohamed Salah (£12.8m) suffered a blank in Gameweek 27. Liverpool have a blank Gameweek in 28 but a double in Gameweek 29. Because of this many managers will be facing a tough decision ahead of Gameweek 28.

@FPL_BlackWolf

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor BlackWolf covered one of the most controversial moments in Gameweek 27. Many managers flocked to Brighton’s attackers over the last couple of weeks.

Brighton have two double Gameweeks in the matter of three Gameweeks. This led to a mass purchase of midfielders Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m), Kaoru Mitoma (£5.5m) and Solly March (£5.1m). The latter blanked for his second consecutive game whilst the other two did not. March scored but his goal was given as an own goal however many have reason to believe the goal should have been given as his. Could people be tempted to shift March on to one of the other two options?

Fantasy Football content creator and experienced FPL manager Ross is also looking ahead to the blank Gamweweek in 28. Brighton, Fulham, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and West Ham do not have a game in the round ahead.

This means that many will be struggling to field a starting 11. Some could be deliberating the use of their free hit chip. However a large portion of the most experienced managers in the game, like Ross will be looking to go into the round with nine or 10 players.

Captaincy could also be wide open in Gameweek 28. Arsenal midfielder Bukayo Saka (£8.5m), Tottenham striker Harry Kane (£11.7m) and Brentford striker Ivan Toney (£7.8m) could all be amongst the favourites to take the armband.
