Form Vs Fixture Charts for Gameweek 17

Last modified date

Gameweek 17

The charts return for Gameweek 17, which will be here before you know it. The deadline is 18:45 BST on Tuesday 12th December.

Form Fixture Gameweek 17

Front Runners

Liverpool and Manchester City are top of the charts, with a good balance of form and fixtures for Gameweek 17. They’re both unbeaten over their last 4 games, and face just one difficult fixture in their next 4 games. If you don’t own Salah yet then you’re making a huge error, in the form that he’s in. The other members of the fab front four could be invested in, but be prepared for Klopp to rotate them. Avoid the defence. Manchester City are another team who’ve lacked consistency in keeping clean sheets. In attack, the strikers are constantly rotated and Sane is out of form. De Bruyne and David Silva are consistently starting games and getting returns if you’re looking for a City attacker.

Form Teams

Following our front runners, Leicester, Arsenal and Manchester United are all on a reasonable run of form. For Arsenal, the defence along with Sanchez and Lacazette are all enticing options for Gameweek 17, but do demand a significant use of funds. Mahrez takes all the headlines for Leicester and ought to be considered. Vardy has been disappointing in recent weeks, but the potential is certainly still there. Albrighton and Gray are intriguing differentials. Schmeichel and Maguire have good clean sheet potential over the festive period. The depth in the Manchester United squad makes it difficult to recommend midfield options. There’s always strong potential for clean sheets from De Gea and Antonio Valencia. Romelu Lukaku should thrive against weaker opposition, despite his current barren spell.

Fixture Teams

Watford have the best set of fixtures over the next four games. Chelsea and Stoke also have a good run over that period too. There’s some interesting options to bring in for Gameweek 17. Clean sheets have been hard to come by for Watford and they’ve been blighted with injuries and suspensions of late. Richarlison could return to form over this run of games and there’s an argument for owning Doucouré if you need a cheap midfielder. It was a shock to see Chelsea lose to West Ham, but they should be back on it with these upcoming fixtures. Again, I’d be looking specifically at the attack with Hazard and possibly Morata: on of these two might be sufficient. Stoke haven’t had many results lately but the potential is there. Shaqiri looks to be the best of a bad bunch, followed by Choupo-Moting: I’d perhaps wait for Gameweek 18 before investing though.
