Fantasy5 Picks GW37: Vardy to follow midweek goals with more at Watford

Last modified date

Pick five Premier League players to beat their Fantasy5 ‘points target’ and you could win a prize of up to £10,000.

We love alternative challenges at Fantasy Football Community, so we really enjoy the Fantasy5 game. It’s a free-to-play challenge, where each week you select a player from five matches who you back to beat their designated ‘points target’. It follows the exact same scoring system as FPL but without bonus points.

Get all five correct and you get a split of the £10,000 jackpot prize. Full terms and conditions are here.

In the meantime, we attempt to suggest five successful picks.

Gameweek 37 Fantasy5 picks

  • West Ham vs Man City
  • Leeds vs Brighton
  • Watford vs Leicester
  • Aston Villa vs Crystal Palace
  • Everton vs Brentford

Deadline is 14:00 (GMT) on Sunday 15 May.

Last week’s selection did quite well, with two of the five successfully beating their points targets – Eddie Nketiah and Oleksandr Zinchenko. In fact, Son Heung-min did indeed score at Liverpool and was only 0.5 short of his target.

11 players managed to overcome theirs – with four each from Man City and Brighton.

A productive run of three consecutive league starts for Gabriel Jesus (6.5) was halted with a rest at Wolves. With five goals during that trio, expect him to get the nod at West Ham and continue this success.

Leeds absolutely must win their home game with Brighton. However, opposing them is a midfielder in wonderful form. Leandro Trossard (7.5) scored 17 FPL points against Man United thanks to two goals and an assist. His last five outings have brought seven goal involvements, so Leeds’ leaky defence won’t intimidate the Belgian.

It’s impressive that Jamie Vardy (7.5) has reached 12 league goals, considering the large spells out injured. Wednesday’s brace versus Norwich rounded off his first Premier League start since Gameweek 28. The perfect way to follow that is with a trip to Watford – already relegated and without a win in 12 home games.

The first half of Aston Villa and Crystal Palace’s Double Gameweek sees them meet at Villa Park. Wilfried Zaha’s fantastic form has landed a 7.5 points target, so an alternative is attacking talent Eberechi Eze (5.5).

Finally, 4.5 is quite an attractive price for Christian Norgaard, having notched three goals and three assists this season. All he needs here is the latter. As Brentford are on a run of six wins from nine, there will certainly be the confidence to do so.
