Fantasy5 Picks GW24: Antonio and Edouard backed to score

Last modified date

Here at Fantasy Football Community, we really enjoy the Fantasy5 game. It’s a free-to-play challenge, where each week you select a player from five matches who you back to beat their designated ‘points target’. It follows the exact same scoring system as FPL, just without bonus points.

Get all five correct and you get a split of the £10,000 jackpot prize. Full terms and conditions are here.

For each round, we will have our own attempt at five successful picks.

GAMEWEEK 24

  • West Ham v Watford
  • Burnley v Man United
  • Norwich v Crystal Palace
  • Tottenham v Southampton
  • Man City v Brentford

Although Michail Antonio‘s supposed regaining of form has dropped off again, he should still be backed to score at home to Watford – under new management but still yet to keep a clean sheet. A second return would be needed to exceed his 6.5 points target but it’d be the same for Jarrod Bowen (8.5) and Tomas Soucek (7.5).

High targets are set for Man United players away to Burnley – Cristiano Ronaldo (9.5), Bruno Fernandes (9.5), Marcus Rashford (8.5) and Jadon Sancho (8.5). Neither side’s defence produces many attacking returns, so it might be best to punt on an assist from Josh Brownhill (4.5).

Odsonne Edouard (6.5) has started all seven games since Gameweek 16, notching three goals, four assists and an expected goals (xG) score only beaten by Harry Kane. A trip to Norwich looks good for the Crystal Palace man. For Spurs against Southampton, Emerson Royal (6.5) has a lower target than fellow wing-back Sergio Reguilon (8.5).

And finally, Man City assets have incredibly difficult targets to beat. Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Raheem Sterling, Bernardo Silva, Jack Grealish and Riyad Mahrez all have at least 10.5 to beat, so let’s picture a Brentford goal that loses the clean sheet. Bryan Mbeumo (5.5) could be the one.
