Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 29 expert picks

Last modified date

With a new round ahead, we look at the latest edition of Bundesliga Fantasy Matchday 29 expert picks. @FPLGunnersaurus joins us to give his top picks for the Matchday ahead.

Twitter is full of the most experienced fantasy football players around. Those managers can be some of the best people to look to when trying to gain clarity when making their own decisions within their teams. Checking out the Matchday 29 expert picks can help for the round ahead.

Top targets – Forwards Marcus Thuram – Borussia Mönchengladbach

Despite being up against high flying Union Berlin the French international is my top forward pick for MD29. Having picked up form again, including an assist in MD28, he’s looking like he’s back to his best and plays at home. He also features in a standalone game, even more attractive when it comes to star player flexibility.

Donyell Malen – Borussia Dortmund

The Dutch forward is in great form too at the moment, with four goals and three assists in his last four games. He’s keeping club captain Marco Reus out of the starting XI at the moment and he should keep his place at home to Frankfurt next Saturday evening. Again Dortmund’s tie is a standalone fixture if you need to switch your star forward from the Saturday afternoon fixtures.

Andrej Kramarić – TSG Hoffenheim

Having scored a goal and securing a crucial point away to Bayern Munich Kramarić and his Hoffenheim side should feel like nothing less than a victory will do against Köln in the Saturday afternoon kick-off. With four goals in his last four goals the Croatian international will be looking to add to that next time out.

Midfielders – Vincenzo Grifo – SC Freiburg

Freiburg’s top scorer features as my top midfielder pick for MD29. The UCL position chasing club come up against Schalke still in the midst of a relegation battle. Despite thrashing Hertha 5-2 at home the Black Forest club are a totally different opposition and the Italian playmaker is likely to dazzle once again.

Jonas Hofmann – Borussia Mönchengladbach

Another player from The Foals to make my recommended picks. Hofmann and Gladbach tend to perform much better at home, as can be seen through many of Hofmann’s fantasy hauls. Four in five of his 20+ pointers have come at the Borussia-Park. After scoring in MD28, expect him to be heavily involved once again in the last fixture of MD29.

Christoph Baumgartner – TSG Hoffenheim

A second MD29 pick from Die Kraichgauer with Austrian international Baumgartner. He’s been featuring as a false nine under Hoffenheim boss Pellegrino Materazzo and seems to be involved with everything going forward. If you’re expecting a win for the Blues against Köln then find room Baumgartner in your squad.

Defenders – Christian Günter – SC Freiburg

Probably the premium asset with the best fixture in MD29. Up against Schalke Freiburg should pick up a victory. Despite being classed as a defender Günter has racked up 118 points for attacking involvement this season, and he’s likely to continue to add to those attacking returns next time out.

Raphaël Guerreiro – Borussia Dortmund

Despite a disappointing fantasy return in Dortmund’s heartbreaking draw against Stuttgart I’d expect them and Guerreiro to bounce back in the Saturday evening kick-off against Frankfurt. Rapha seems to be hauling ever other game at the moment so it would take a brave player not to have him in their fantasy squad.

Josha Vagnoman – VfB Stuttgart

With a huge 40pts across his last two games Vagnoman could just be a flash in the plan. However, with a trip to Augsburg in the Friday night kick-off a punt on the recently capped German international could pay dividends. You can always sub him out if the move doesn’t pay off.

Who will score? Who will win? We look at what to expect in Gameweek 32 right here.
