The English Premier League is back! With the help of the fixture ticker and key underlying stats from the Fantasy Football Scout members area, we take a look at some of the best goalkeepers on unlimited transfers.
Taking a look at the best goalkeepers on unlimited transfers can be hugely beneficial to managers. This season it has been difficult to find consistent goalkeepers so finding the best can help in building the rest of our squads.
Kepa Arizzabalaga
Finding cheap goalkeepers that play for one of the top clubs can be a difficult task so when we get the opportunity to invest in one, we probably should. Chelsea offer exactly that. Defensively, the Blues have been up there with some of the best teams in the league over the last few seasons.
Although a they have had a recent dip in form, it’s worth remembering Chelsea kept five consecutive clean sheets when Graham Potter took over. Kepa Arizzabalaga (£4.5m) looks set to keep his first team place and faces Bournemouth and Nottingham Forest in the next two fixtures, as well as having a double Gameweek ahead. Kepa could be worth a shot, especially if paired with Leicester’s Danny Ward.
Danny Ward
Leicester were in seriously poor form at the start of the season. Form so poor that they were sitting rock bottom of the Premier League. However, the Foxes have been improving, especially defensively and have been racking up clean sheets.
In the last eight matches, Leicester have managed to keep a huge six clean sheets. A large contributor towards that is goalkeeper Danny Ward (£4.1m). At such a low price, Ward could be very difficult to exclude from out squads. Ward could be paired and rotated with another budget goalkeeper and started when playing good fixtures.
David De Gea
Manchester United’s ropey start to the season seems to have improved and the new manager looks to be implementing his tactics well. The Reds face three of the worst attacks in the league in the next three Gameweeks,. Nottingham Forest, Wolves and Bournemouth all lay ahead for Manchester United so their defence could be worth investment.
Manchester United have proved they can be defensively sound under the new manager and that is reflected in their three clean sheets kept in the last six matches. David De Gea (£4.9m) is a fantastic goalkeeper which means he does have the ability to make plenty of saves, his four points in the previous match is proof of that.
