Best differentials for Gameweek 6
Every week Will from Fantasy Football 92 picks out his best differential XI for the Gameweek. Here he suggests the best differentials for Gameweek 6 and explains why.
We’ve all seen the “template XI” and will, no doubt, have figured out which elite assets we’re going to jump on this season.
Whether you’re on the Salah train or the Haaland bus (or both), you’re going to be needing some handy differentials in your side to ensure you’re always one step ahead of your mini-league rivals and can climb up those world rankings!
In this weekly series, we explore those low ownership options that could be the hidden gems to help you to creap up that table. Here are the best differentials for Gameweek 6 that we like the look of.
GOALKEEPER
Vicente Guaita 1.3% TSB
Crystal Palace stopper Vicente Guaita gets another go in between the sticks for us. The fixtures are getting kinder (a depleted Newcastle away is next) and clean sheets are surely coming.
DEFENDERS
Max Kilman 1.1% TSB, John Stones 2.1% TSB, Pervis Estupinan 0.5% TSB.
Max Kilman comes into a home fixture against Southampton. This on the back of a solid performance and clean sheet away at Bournemouth. Meanwhile, John Stones helped himself to an assist in top of a clean sheet against Nottingham Forest. It’s been an eventful couple of games for Stones. He has an own goal, two assists and one clean sheet on his Gameweek 4 and Gameweek 5 stat sheets!
The much talked about Pervis Estupinan makes up the differential defence this week. He has a nice looking matchup against a woeful looking Leicester side. The popular Ecuadorean won the Brighton penalty against Fulham on Tuesday. He could be a bargain at £4.5m if he keeps getting into those advanced areas.
MIDFIELDERS
Mason Mount 4.5% TSB, Brenden Aaronson 1.7% TSB, Anthony Gordon 2.1% TSB, Harvey Elliot 1.1% TSB, Goncalo Guedes 0.6% TSB
We backed Mason Mount to get his first attacking return of the season against Southampton last week. He duly delivered despite suffering defeat. We’re tipping him to get in and amongst the action once again in Chelsea’s London derby with West Ham.
The busy Brendan Aaronson is also a pick we like this week thanks to his all action display vs Everton. This included an assist and plenty of set pieces. Youngsters Harvey Elliott and Anthony Gordon are tipped to light up the Merseyside derby on Saturday lunch time. Elliott has arguably been Liverpool’s best player at the start of the new campaign. While Everton are delighted to keep Gordon who has kicked into goal scoring form early this season.
Finally, goal shy Wolves thought they’d solved some of their creativity issues in bringing in Gonçalo Guedes from Valencia. Although he’s only managed one assist in his three games so far the Portuguese winger looks good. He will be confident of getting on the scoresheet for the first time in a home game versus Southampton.
FORWARDS
Brennan Johnson 1.5% TSB, Alexander Isak 2.6% TSB
We’re going massively off piste with the forwards this week. Nottingham Forest will be looking to immediately banish the painful memories of the humbling at The Etihad. They have a home game against Bournemouth. Last season’s star man Brennan Johnson will be fighting to keep his place following Forest’s 563 new signings during this window. A home game against the league’s worst defence gives him a great chance to keep himself at the front of his manager’s mind.
From an established star looking to keep his place to a new one looking to break through. Callum Wilson’s injury probably led to new Toon forward Alexander Isak being thrust into the limelight sooner than Eddie Howe would’ve liked. Now, after an explosive debut on Wednesday at Anfield, Howe won’t be rushing Wilson back with his new striker already looking incredibly sharp. The fans at St James’ Park are going to love their first glimpse of the Swede against Crystal Palace this weekend!
