Best budget enablers for Gameweek 26

Last modified date

We reel off some of the best budget enablers for Gameweek 26 with the help of the fantastic tools available in the Fantasy Football Scout members area. We also take into consideration form, fixtures and stats to help us.

Looking at some of the best budget enablers for Gameweek 26 can be hugely beneficial to FPL managers. Cheap players help enable funds elsewhere within our fantasy teams which also aids fitting in the more pricier options in the game.

Fixtures

Below we can see the fixtures for Gameweek 26 in difficulty order. The teams with the easiest fixtures lay at the top all the way down to the teams with the toughest fixtures at the bottom.

Leon Bailey

Aston Villa rank fourth on the fixture ticker in Gameweek 26. They face Crystal Palace in the round ahead. Their opponents have been conceding some concerning defensive data as of late. In fact in the last six matches they rank the worst for shots conceded (73), the worst for shots on target conceded (37) and the third worst for big chances conceded (18).

Crystal Palace are a team to target at the moment and one way to do that could be to invest in Leon Bailey. The budget midfielder comes in with a £4.4m price-tag and has already picked up four goals and two assists this season.

It is also worth considering that Aston Villa play in blank Gameweek 28 and have a double in Gameweek 29. At such an appealing price tag, good long term fixtures and a poor Crystal Palace defence up next, Bailey could well become one of the most appealing enablers in the game.

Neco Williams

Nottingham Forest have been improving defensively. The promoted side have kept two clean sheets in their last six Gameweeks. They face Everton in Gameweek 26. The Toffees are struggling offensively. In fact in the last six matches they rank the joint second worst for goals scored (three).

Nottingham Forest have some very cheap options in defence. With the recent injury to Serge Aurier, it looks likely that old favourite Neco Williams (£3.9m) will come back into the fold after starting their last game.

The Welshman has a fixture in Gameweek 28 and has a double Gameweek in Gameweek 29. This could mean managers could even play him in those weeks where the fixtures are fair for Nottingham Forest. His enabling price and fixture could mean he makes a mass return into many fantasy teams.

Solly March

Brighton have scored two or more goals in six of their last 10 Premier League matches. To reinforce their appealing attack they rank amongst the best four teams for attempts on goal (87), shots in the box (60) and shots on target (32) in the last six matches.

They face West Ham next. The Hammers have struggled to maintain defensive stability for some time. One player who should be considered is Solly March (£5.1m). Amongst all players in the league in the last six he ranks sixth for non penalty expected goal involvement (3.70). That number is better than any of his other offensive teammates.

March has two double Gameweeks scheduled. With three double-digit hauls under his belt in his last six matches could be one of the best enablers in the game moving forward.

Pervis Estupiñán

Staying with Brighton we head into their defence. In the last six matches amongst all teams in the league they rank second best for shots in the box conceded (30), the best for shots conceded (38), joint second best for big chances conceded (five) and the best for shots on target conceded (nine).

Investing in the Brighton defence moving forward could be really beneficial. The standout option at the back is Pervis Estupiñán (£4.7m). The full-back has managed five consecutive returns in as many matches whilst also creating a huge five assists in his last seven matches in all competitions.

With a huge lack of options at the back in FPL, Pervis Estupiñán could be a fantastic addition and even more so considering the prospect of two double Gameweeks coming up.
