STRONG FIXTURE

LIVERPOOL

There’s a deeper look into Liverpool’s Double Gameweek – as well as the other seven teams – on this site ahead of the Saturday morning deadline. Simply put, a pair of home clashes versus the leaky defences of Norwich and Leeds is an FPL manager’s dream, especially when FPL phenom Mohamed Salah is up against them. Whether he or Trent Alexander-Arnold are chosen as captain – or even Triple Captain – there are huge expectations on Reds assets to haul big.

ARSENAL

A look into the Gunners’ pair of fixtures is published later today, entering their own pair of home games having won five of their last seven matches, including five clean sheets. Defensive coverage ahead of facing Brentford and Wolves is a must, although it’s less clear which attacking talent gets the nod – especilly as Arsenal blank in Gameweek 27. Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Alexandre Lacazette are the lead candidates.

ASTON VILLA

Of those with a single Gameweek, Aston Villa assets are highly appealing when they host Watford. The Hornets haven’t scored in their last four matches and, even though Villa couldn’t beat either Leeds or Newcastle, owners of Lucas Digne, Ollie Watkins and Philippe Coutinho will be optimistic of a return this time.

BRIGHTON

Written ahead of their second half of Double Gameweek 25, Brighton looked solid in their 2-0 win at Watford. It was their first clean sheet since Gameweek 19 and up next are the league’s second-lowest scorers Burnley. That’s a good sign for Robert Sanchez, Marc Cucurella and Tariq Lamptey, alongside the in-form striker Neal Maupay – currently having his best Premier League season.

Here is how some of the world’s best FPL managers are approaching the upcoming Double and Blank Gameweeks.
