Secondly, the Fantasy Premier League (FPL) deadline is at 10:30 (GMT) on Sunday 15 May. There are no Saturday matches, in order to avoid clashing with the FA Cup final.

Strong Fixtures

EVERTON

As one of five teams with a Double Gameweek, Everton’s assets are a top priority for many FPL managers when they face both Brentford and Crystal Palace at home. Goodison Park will be rocking, as the Toffees aim to drag themselves to Premier League safety. Their last four home games have brought a draw and three 1-0 wins, so expect the many transfers of Richarlison and Anthony Gordon to escalate even more this week.

For managers using a Free Hit, it’s the chance to jump onto a normally bad defence in the hope that they can replicate the successful shut-outs from the wins over Newcastle, Man United and Chelsea. Perhaps Jordan Pickford is the best option.

ASTON VILLA

These also have a pair of promising home matches against Crystal Palace and one other. Because the second opponent is Burnley, the Villans actually rank higher than Everton on the fixture ticker. However, the big difference is that Steven Gerrard’s side seemingly has little to play for.

Still, those taking end-of-season risks with transfers can invest in Philippe Coutinho or Ollie Watkins. Over 19% of the top 10k owned Jacob Ramsey heading into Gameweek 36 but a groin problem could affect his game time. As one of the league’s strongest defences, it could certainly be worth bringing in Matty Cash or Lucas Digne.

Weak Fixtures

SOUTHAMPTON

The Saints are a prime example of a team whose season is just drifting away. FPL managers have largely given up on Armando Broja, whilst Tino Livramento‘s season-ending injury provided an easy sale. Their only reliable asset of late is James Ward-Prowse but facing Liverpool at home is very off-putting.

MAN UNITED

As the only team to not take part in Gameweek 37, it’s very wise to sell Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and David De Gea. Furthermore, their tricky final day trip to Crystal Palace is bettered by many other teams.

According to the Fantasy Football Scout Fixture Ticker, here are the Gameweek fixtures ranked by difficulty:
