Liverpool and Leicester assets are high on the agenda to strengthen the squad going into the festive period. They have great form and fixtures.

Gameweek 12 was another great one, with the captaincy finally landing again and Jamie Vardy helping himself to a double-digit return. The Chelsea trio remain excellent value, with just Mason Mount failing to deliver on this occasion. The big game of the weekend brought just a solitary goal from Sadio Mane. It was mixed fortunes for the defence in Gameweek 12: Pope and Tomori grabbed impressive returns and crucially some bonus points to make their hauls significant. Things were more challenging for the first choice defenders, with rare blanks from John Lundstram and Trent Alexander-Arnold.Gameweek 13 Team
Two free transfers have been burning a hole in my pocket, as I look for strength and depth going into the congested festive fixture run. Jimenez, Soyuncu and Maddison or Tielemans remain on the wish list, and an opportunity was potentially missed by not downgrading a Manchester City midfielder to a Foxes asset last time. It looks like it will be a -4 for me this week, once press conferences resolve headaches at Liverpool. Sterling will make way to release vital funds, with a fit Maddison likely to be given the nod over Tielemans given his set-piece responsibility. An inconsistent Maupay will become Jimenz and Hanley, who is still injured, will be replaced by Soyuncu. That still leaves weaknesses on the bench, but a massive bank balance, to navigate this tricky spell of games. Pieters and Cantwell will be replaced very soon. I almost took a -8, to avoid playing Mount against Manchester City, but that seemed a step too far. I’m still open to buying Robertson very soon too, if he can stay fit. Captaincy will be tricky this week. My heart says to go with Mane, but concern is creeping in around Liverpool’s team being weakened by injuries. I’ll be listening to Klopp’s press conference intently before locking in my armband, but Jamie Vardy is a worthy option who is consistently delivering right now. The team is ranked at 715,407 with 651 points. All chips are still in tact, except the wildcard. Team value will lie at £103.7 million, with £2.4 million in the bank, once transfers have been made.Be sure to check out our other content ahead of the Gameweek 13 deadline. —> FPL Gameweek 13 Preview —> Last Minute Gameweek 13 Tips Get even more Fantasy Premier League Tips by visiting the Fantasy Football Community Homepage.
