Last modified date

FPL Gameweek 8 Preview

The FPL Gameweek 8 preview is packed full of excellent advice from the Fantasy Football Community.

Kevin De Bruyne is set to miss out through injury and so there could be some big transfer decisions to make in FPL Gameweek 8.

I) Salah

Last weekend saw five clean sheets, including from Liverpool. Manchester City stand the best chance in the FPL Gameweek 8 preview according to the bookies odds, with Manchester United also favourable.

II) General

FPL General returns with another episode of the 59th Minute podcast. There’s an update to his watchlist, plus sound advice for those who are concerned that Kevin De Bruyne is flagged with an injury.

III) Prince

FPL Prince is shopping for defenders in FPL Gameweek 8 and it’s certainly an area where FPL managers can save funds but still get on board some top defences. Prices are quickly rising though.

IV) Secrets

Manchester City players dominate Fantasy Football Secrets minutes per goal or assist charts for FPL Gameweek 8. They take up the top five places, but Raheem Sterling is lagging behind after a tricky few weeks.

V) Tips

FPL Tips has updated his watchlist for the Gameweek 8 preview. Jamie Vardy is bang in form, but can he exploit a Liverpool backline struggling with injury this weekend?

VI) Family

Sam from FPL Family was the latest face from the community to join FPL FYI for a brand new video over on the YouTube channel. Check our her weekly wildcard.

VII) Statman

Aguero remains top of the scoring charts and it’s great to see the English players dominating in this department. Aubameyang and Wilson make the shortlist after returning in every Premier League game.

VIII) Wilson

Riyad Mahrez is close to matching De Bruyne for assists this season and Scott from Fantasy Football Pundits is recommending him as a replacement if the Belgian is out long-term.

IX) Connect

The FPL Connect captain metric is up and running for the new season. Aubameyang comes into contention as an alternative to our Manchester City assets, plus there’s a differential to consider.

X) Dinnery

The key issue for many FPL managers is the length of time Kevin De Bruyne is set to be out. Ben Dinnery provides a vital update and the prognosis is promising.
