Form and Fixture Charts for Gameweek 9

Last modified date

Form Fixture Gameweek 9

Gameweek 9 is rapidly approaching for Fantasy Premier League managers. We’ve got you covered with the form and fixture tips.

On a weekly basis, we are bringing fantasy football managers charts to show which Premier League teams have the best form and fixture record. This helps to narrow down your FPL transfer choices for Gameweek 9. It measures the success of the previous four fixtures and takes the Fixture Difficulty Rating for the next four fixtures.

Manchester City

We know that Manchester City are in a rich vein of form and they have excellent fixtures on the horizon too. It’s pretty conclusive from the charts that a triple up is necessary. No other team comes close. It’s difficult to decide on which three, defensive cover looks promising in their next two fixtures. Personally, I’d go for Walker if you are in the market for a defender. In the two games where City haven’t kept a clean sheet, it’s been the wing backs who have been among the goals. In terms of the attacking side, all of them look ripe for investment. Keep an eye on Champions League minutes before making those Gameweek 9 transfers: limited minutes in the week could indicate a start at the weekend.

The Top 8

The fixtures have toughened up for Manchester United but there’s still an argument for investment. It would be a risky strategy to sell assets to move to the blue half of Manchester for Gameweek 9. I’d definitely hold the value defence of De Gea and Jones. If you have Lukaku and have a good rank to maintain then I’d hold him too. And certainly everyone should for the Gameweek 9. United may be one to assess after Gameweek 9. Looking at the charts, it definitely seems like the time to hop off any Arsenal players you own as the fixtures are turning. I’d hold any Spurs or Liverpool players, maybe it’s time to look elsewhere for those with Chelsea coverage. Watford and Burnley don’t look particularly good for investment despite their strong starts and League table position.

Transfer tips

Brighton are sailing high in the form v fixture chart. Pascal Groß (5.7) has been involved in 5 out of 6 of their goals and has an appealing set of fixtures coming up. West Ham have gone under the radar after a shocking start to the season but are now regularly keeping clean sheets. Joe Hart (4.4) is a great option if you are on a wildcard, he even chipped in with an assist last week. Michail Antonio (7.5) got on the scoresheet last week and is also a decent option ahead of Gameweek 9.   In conclusion, prioritise a City triple up but if you have to look elsewhere Manchester United, Liverpool, Spurs, Brighton and West Ham should all be considered. Avoid Huddersfield and Crystal Palace for now. Don’t forget to read  The Early Gameweek 9 Preview and check back later this week for more great community articles, content and tweets.
