Those managers holding free transfers can look for players with the perfect blend of form and fixtures for Gameweek 17.

Gameweek 17

Front Runners

There’s three teams tied at the top of the Gameweek 17 charts: Liverpool, Manchester City and West Ham. Liverpool have the form, with 4 wins in a row and are the only side still unbeaten. Manchester City have the promising upcoming fixtures. West Ham have an excellent blend of both.

Salah has the form for Liverpool, with 4 goals and 1 assist over this period. The defence remains investable: they have 3 clean sheets in their last 4 games. Van Dijk and Alisson should see the least rotation, but Robertson and Alexander-Arnold provide more attacking threat.

With the Manchester City defence disappointing of late, plus an injury to Aguero, it’s the midfield that provides most interest: Sane, Sterling and Mahrez are all worthy options. Ederson, Walker and Laporte should improve on their 8 clean sheets during this period.

West Ham have scored plenty of goals in their last three games: Chicarito and Anderson provide great value right now. The defence are leaky, but Fabianski amasses plenty of save points and bonus, looking to be the best budget goalkeeper in the game. Snodgrass is an interesting budget midfield differential, providing plenty in set pieces.

Form Team

Arsenal are unbeaten in their last four games, with a reasonable spell of upcoming fixtures, particularly in their next three games. Aubameyang has great form, with Torreira another budget midfield alternative. The defence are shaky, but Bellerín and Kolasinac hold attacking threat.

Fixture Team

Fulham have a good spell of upcoming fixtures, in which they’ll need to accumulate vital points. Mitrovic should continue to provide in the central striker role, with Kamara being a potential bench filler in alternative formations. Avoid the defence!
