Overviewing the transfers and gossip up to June 1st can be a huge help for fantasy managers around the world. Whether it affects Fantasy Premier League, UCL Fantasy or another Fantasy game, we look at what the deal could mean for the player or team from a fantasy point of view.
Mark Flekken to Brentford
As we can see, SC Freiburg goalkeeper Mark Flekken is set to join Brentford. The deal has been confirmed and his €13m release clause has been activated. Flekken has been excellent in Germany this campaign and sits as one of the highest scoring goalkeepers in Bundesliga Fantasy 22/23.
Flekken racked up 13 clean sheets in his most recent season whilst maintaining an average of 3.2 saves per game. Whilst Flekken joins Brentford it has also been rumoured that David Raya is looking to leave. This means FPL managers will have to settle for Flekken.
Jefferson Lerma to Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace look set to complete the signing of Jefferson Lerma on a free transfer. Lerma will also be leaving Bournemouth as part of the deal. The Colombian plays as a central midfielder which is a position that Crystal Palace have been looking to fill.
Although mostly a defensive player, Lerma has also managed to score five goals in his 22/23 Premier League campaign. Lerma could make Crystal Palace a stronger team overall but specifically defensively.
Jude Bellingham to Real Madrid
The Bellingham transfer rumours have been circulating for a long time now. Although that is the case, the English midfielder looks closer to securing a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid. The 19-year-old plays as a central midfielder and has serious talent box-to-box.
Bellingham picked up eight goals and four assists in his 22/23 Bundesliga campaign for Dortmund. The Englishman also became a very good UCL Fantasy asset this season, picking up five consecutive returns between Matchday 1 and 5. Bellingham could significantly improve an already very strong Real Madrid both defensively and offensively.
Alexis Mac Allister to Liverpool
Liverpool look set to sign Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentinian caught the eye after a fantastic World Cup winning campaign. Mac Allister plays predominantly as a central midfielder but can also be used in a central attacking role.
The Reds have been short in midfield for some time and that has really affected their performances this season. Not only will Mac Allister improve Liverpool defensively and offensively but it also raises the question of who will take the Liverpool penalties moving forward?
Where is Jack Clarke going?
Burnley, Brentford and Crystal Palace are three of the clubs interested in signing Sunderland’s Jack Clarke this summer. The 22-year-old plays as a left sided attacker and bagged nine goals and 11 assists for Sunderland in the Championship this season.
