Best budget players for Gameweek 30

Last modified date

We reel off some of the best budget players for Gameweek 30 with the help of the fantastic tools available in the Fantasy Football Scout members area. We also take into consideration form, fixtures and stats to help us.

Looking at some of the best budget players for Gameweek 30 can be hugely beneficial to FPL managers. Cheap players help enable funds elsewhere within our fantasy teams which also aids fitting in the more pricier options in the game.

Fixtures

Brighton

Brighton remain one of the most investable teams in Fantasy Premier League. Offensively this season they rank amongst the best four teams for goals scored (51), attempts on goal (412), big chances total (80) and shots on target (158).

Defensively this season they also rank amongst the best four teams for shots in the box conceded (190), total attempts on goal conceded (257), shots on target conceded (89) and big chances conceded (43). Brighton offer up some fantastic defensive and offensive stats making their assets very appealing.

They face Tottenham this week who are struggling for consistency. Some of the best enablers from Brighton include:

  • Defenders Pervis Estupinan (£4.8m), Lewis Dunk (£4.7m) and Joel Veltman (£4.6m).
  • Midfielder Kaoru Mitoma (£5.6m) – Mitoma has collected a whopping eight returns in his last 10 matches.
  • Midfielder Alexis Mac Allister (£5.5m) – Mac Allister takes his sides penalties and set pieces, giving him additional routes to points.
  • Midfielder Solly March (£5.2m) – March leads his offensive teammates in terms of non-penalty expected goal involvement this campaign (11.87).
  • Striker Evan Ferguson (£4.6m)- Ferguson has picked up a return in half of his last 10 matches for Brighton.

Wesley Fofana

Chelsea recently departed with Graham Potter after a string of inconsistent results. The first match they played without Potter ended in a 0-0 draw against free-scoring Liverpool. This is an early sign of defensive improvements.

The Blues face Wolves in Gameweek 30. They rank as the joint worst team in the league this season for goals scored (23). This suggests that investing in the Chelsea backline could be very rewarding. Wesley Fofana (£4.3m) is the cheapest way into the defence. The Frenchman recently returned from injury but prior to that picked up a huge 14-point return for his goal and clean sheet.

Andreas Pereira

Fulham have had a very strong campaign this season. Unfortunately for them, due to an incident with an official, main man Aleksander Mitrovic (£6.6m) has been given a lengthy ban. This only bolsters the appeal of Andreas Pereira (£4.3m).

Pereira comes in at one of the most enabling price-tags in the game. On top of this, whilst he also plays in an advanced position and takes set pieces, he is also on penalty taking duty. If that wasn’t enough Pereira has banked two returns in his last three matches, recently becoming Fulham’s highest scoring player in FPL. He has a great opportunity against a struggling West Ham side in the next round.
