Looking at the best three under the radar picks for Gameweek 28 in FPL could be really beneficial to managers. Picking lesser selected players in the game can help gain rank or an edge over mini-league rivals so it’s always important to consider them.
Mykhailo Mudryk
Chelsea’s improving form isn’t going unnoticed by FPL managers. The Blues have won their last three matches in all competitions since reverting back to their wing-back system. In fact, Chelsea have scored six goals in that same period, more than they scored in the 10 games before that.
Whilst many back the Chelsea wing-backs and striker some could look to Mykhailo Mudryk (£6.5m). The Ukrainian now looks up to speed in terms of fitness and looks set to start against a struggling Everton in Gameweek 28. Mudryk picked up an assist in his most recent game against Leicester and could well be flying under the radar this week.
Miguel Almiron
Newcastle have been excellent this season. They come up against a Nottingham Forest side who in the last six matches in all competitions rank the joint worst for goals conceded (12) and amongst the worst five teams for shots conceded (92) and shots and shots on target (28).
With a great fixture to attack, Newcastle could be a great team to invest in. Since his mini-slump in form, Miguel Almiron (£5.5m) has flown under the radar. The midfielder has managed a huge 11 goals and one assist this season. In his last four matches Almiron has also managed a solid two returns including a double digit haul.
Patrick Bamford
Leeds come into Gameweek 28 with a game against Wolves. Their opponents have managed just one clean sheet in their last six Gameweeks, showing defensive instability. In that same period Leeds managed to score two goals against both Manchester United and Brighton.
Although struggling to score goals for large portions of the campaign, Leeds have their star man back. Patrick Bamford (£7.1m) has struggled to maintain fitness this season, hampered by injuries. Bamford returned in Leeds’ most recent game and scored. He also takes penalties which provides an additional route to points. Whilst many back other strikers, Bamford could be a great option for Gameweek 28.
