Best three under the radar picks for Gameweek 27

Last modified date

We take a look through the best three under the radar picks for Gameweek 27. Using the help of the fixture ticker and underlying stats from Fantasy Football Scout we can find some of the best lesser picked players in FPL for the new round ahead.

Looking at the best three under the radar picks for Gameweek 27 in FPL could be really beneficial to managers. Picking lesser selected players in the game can help gain rank or an edge over mini-league rivals so it’s always important to consider them.

Evan Ferguson

Brighton have a double Gameweek this week against Leeds and Crystal Palace. Both have failed to look convincing this season. Amongst all teams in the league in the last six matches they rank joint first for minutes per chance (5.2) and joint second for big chances total (21).

With an array of attacking options many will be focusing on the main three in the midfield. However, some could select Evan Ferguson (£4.6m). The striker is the focal point to the attack and although he has blanked in his last four matches, before that he went on a run of returning in four consecutive games including a double-digit haul.

Wilfried Zaha

Crystal Palace also have a double Gameweek in the round ahead. They face Manchester City and Brighton in Gameweek 27. Many managers within the community will be avoiding the Crystal Palace assets because of their recent performances and opponents.

However, Crystal Palace’s star man has returned after an injury. Wilfried Zaha (£7.2m) played 90 minutes of their most recent game. The winger has been their biggest threat and massively edges his offensive teammates in terms of non penalty expected goal involvement this season. Zaha also takes his teams penalties which is another factor in his appeal.

Ben Chiwell

Things look like their improving for Chelsea after suffering a long string of negative results. Although the good results haven’t been there in the last six matches they rank joint second best for goals conceded (four) and joint second best for big chances created (four).

Chelsea have seemingly reverted back to a back three and in that time have picked up two back-to-back wins and clean sheets. This indicates that their wingbacks could have huge potential moving forward. For that reason and the fact he created both Champions League goals in midweek, Ben Chilwell (£5.8m) could be going under the radar in FPL.
