Gameweek 24 is now over so we can start looking ahead to the new round. For that reason, we bring in Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor @FPLReaction to provide us with a FPL team reveal for Gameweek 25.
As we approach any given deadline, managers will be scrambling for clarity on some of the biggest decisions in the game like transfers and captaincy. Taking a look at @FPLReaction’s FPL team reveal for Gameweek 25 could benefit other managers when making those decisions.
Team reveal
Goalkeepers
Chelsea face a tough match against Tottenham so I’m not sure how much potential Kepa Arrizabalaga (£4.7m) has but he could rack up some save points. There is also no way I can play Leicester’s Danny Ward (£4m) ahead of him when he plays Arsenal.
Defenders
As we can see I have placed Manchester United’s Luke Shaw (£5.3m) and Newcastle’s Kieran Trippier (£6m) on the bench for now. They both have tough fixtures in Gameweek 26 but I’m still not set on selling either so they will stay for now.
Wolves Hugo Bueno (£3.9m) has been on my bench for a long time. He has a double Gameweek this week so hopefully he starts both. Everton’s James Tarkowski (£4.4m) was one of my early transfers in this week. He also has a double Gameweek so has plenty of potential, especially from set pieces.
There is a genuine chance I play this Gameweek with 10 men because of Manuel Akanji (£5m). He has not been starting which is an issue but the hope is he finally gets his chance against Bournemouth. Akanji will likely be sold moving forward.
Midfielders
Fulham’s Andreas Pereira (£4.4m) steps in, like Huge Bueno, from the bench, he’s such a great enabler and has good potential in any given game. Liverpool midfielder Mohamed Salah (£12.7m) was also one of my three early transfers. The Egyptian has a very good double Gameweek in the round ahead.
Part of my Arsenal triple threat comes in midfield. Both Bukayo Saka (£8.4m) and Martin Ødegaard (£7m) have huge potential for their double Gameweek. At the time of writing my captaincy is leaning more towards Bukayo Saka. Arsenal have better attacking stats than Liverpool, look more reliable and he has better recent stats than Mohamed Salah.
Marcus Rashford (£7.3m) stays on the bench. There is no way he leaves my squad.
Forwards
Eddie Nketiah (£6.8m) completes my Arsenal trio. Amongst all players in the last six matches he is top for expected goal involvement. He does need to start returning significant points soon though. Erling Haaland (£12.2m) is an obvious addition. However, he is out of the captaincy conversation as he plays one fixture.
My third and final transfer was Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez (£8.7m). He’s in good form with three returns in his last three matches in all competitions. His fixtures made it very difficult to exclude him this week.
Additional notes
- The players that left my team this week were Manchester midfielder Kevin De Bruyne (£12.3m), Fulham striker Aleksander Mitrovic (£6.8m) and Everton defender Nathan Patterson (£3.9m). These moves were made as part of a minus four hit.
- Captaincy could still go either way and the only reason for that is because of my already heavy reliance on the Arsenal attack.
- As already mentioned, I could end up playing with 10 men this week but hopefully the doublers make up for that.
- I’m looking forward to the Gameweek ahead, good luck everyone!
