As FPL managers we are heading into one of the most important phases of the season. With blank Gameweeks and double Gameweeks arriving thick and fast, a team or players appeal will increase or decrease based on their fixture schedule. So, should we keep or sell Rashford in FPL?
Manchester United’s fixtures
As we can see, Manchester United do not have a fixture in Gameweek 25. However, the latest update from the Premier League has revealed that they will face a double Gameweek against Newcastle and Brentford in Gameweek 29.
The Manchester United attack
Manchester United continue their brilliant campaign whilst sitting third in the Premier League. This season amongst all teams the Reds rank fourth for goals scored (41), fourth for attempts on goal (348), third for big chances total (66) and joint third for shots on target (126).
If that wasn’t impressive enough there recent stats are. Amongst all teams in their last six matches they rank first for goals scored (17), second for attempts on goal (122), second for shots in the box (80) and first for shots on target (41).
Manchester United have been maintaining some brilliant underlying offensive data all season. However, their most recent stats suggests they are continuously progressing and getting stronger so avoiding their assets could be bad move.
Marcus Rashford
Marcus Rashford (£7.3m) has had a fantastic season so far. The midfielder sits as the third highest point scorer in FPL. Amongst all players in the league this season he ranks joint third for goals (14), sixth for attempts on goal (66), sixth for attempts in the box (51) and fourth for big chances total (20).
Similar to Manchester United’s stats in the last six matches, Rashford is constantly improving. In fact, in that same six match period he ranks first for goals (eight), first for attempts on goal (29), second for attempts in the box (21) and joint second for big chances total (nine).
Should we keep or sell Rashford in FPL?
Keep. Manchester United’s attacking stats are some of the best in the league. Their stats are only improving as of late. Marcus Rashford is one of the most in-form players in the league. He is also sustaining some brilliant offensive stats, again, even more so as of late.
Although he does blank in Gameweek 25, he can be placed on the bench until his fixtures resume and with a double Gameweek ahead there is even more reason for his place be secured within our teams.
