How to invest in Everton and Wolves for double Gameweek 25

Last modified date

We take a look at how to invest in Everton and Wolves for double Gameweek 25. Looking at form and minutes to determine who could be the best picks whilst utilising the Fantasy Football Scout members area to help us.

Double game weeks can be the most exciting period of the season for many fantasy managers. They can help gain rank or an edge over mini league opposition if we pick the right players so looking at how to invest in Everton and Wolves for double Gameweek 25 could be key.

Everton

Opposition/Aston Villa: Offensively, Aston Villa rank in the best eight teams in the last six matches for goals scored (nine), mid-table for other key data points and the third worst in the league for big chances total. Defensively in the same period they rank the worst in the league for goals conceded (13), fifth worst for shots in the box conceded (62) and the worst team for big chances conceded (23).

Opposition/Arsenal: Offensively in the last six matches Arsenal rank third for goals scored (11) and first for shots in the box (83). Defensively they rank in the worst eight teams for goals conceded (nine), and big chances conceded (17).

Everton defence: Everton have kept just two clean sheets in their last six matches. Both of those came when Sean Dyche took over. In the same six match period they rank third worst for goals conceded (10). The Toffees also rank around mid-table for other key defensive data points.

Everton attack: Everton have scored four goals in their last six matches. In the same period they rank the second worst team in the league for attempts on goal (60), joint second worst for shots in the box (40) and joint fifth worst for shots on target (19).

Best options: In defence some could back goalkeeper Jordan Pickford (£4.4m). However the standout pick in the defence is James Tarkowski (£4.3m). The centre back ranks above his teammates for expected goal involvement in the last six matches. Not far behind after James Tarkowski is Dwight McNeil (£5.1m) in third (1.17) and in fourth is fellow midfielder Alex Iwobi (£5.4m).

The standout option from Everton is James Tarkowski. However, those looking for an attacker could back Dwight McNeil or Alex Iwobi.

Wolves

Opposition/Fulham: Offensively in the last six matches Fulham rank amongst the wort six teams for attempts on goal (65), big chances total (seven) and shots on target (19). Defensively in the same period they rank joint best for goals conceded (three). However they are also the third worst for shots in the box conceded (70) and second worst for shots on target conceded (34).

Opposition/Liverpool: Offensively in the same period Liverpool rank amongst the best eight teams for most of the key attacking data points.

Wolves defence: Wolves have kept two clean sheets in their last six matches. In the same period they also rank amongst the best eight teams for goals conceded (six), shots on target conceded (17) and big chances conceded (10).

Wolves attack: Wolves rank around mid-table for most of the key offensive data points. However they also rank amongst the four worst teams for shots on target (18) and big chances total.

Best options: Amongst all the backline, centre back Craig Dawson (£4.8m) leads the way in terms of expected goal involvement in the last six matches (0.37). Dawson could be the standout defensive pick. Some could also select full-back Nelson Semedo (£5m) who ranks second (0.31).

In attack several players have started the last three matches. Of those players is midfielder Ruben Neves (£5.4m) who tops them all in terms off expected goal involvement (1.41). Midfielders Matheus Nunes (£4.8m) and Pablo Sarabia (£5.5m) rank behind with 1.17. Managers could take a risk with any of the three listed above if they choose.
