GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 30

Last modified date

We go through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 30 using stats, form and fixture ahead. After a quiet blank Gameweek in Gameweek 29, we look ahead to the new round. Gameweek 30 starts on the 3rd of February. This means managers have days to get their teams ready.

Going through the GAFFR top picks for Gameweek 30 can be hugely beneficial. As fantasy managers, we are always looking for players who could do really well in the next round. For that reason, picking out some of the best assets for the Gameweek ahead can be crucial when chasing down the competition.

Blackpool

Double Gameweeks can be one of the most exciting times in any fantasy football game because of their potential. Blackpool have a double Gameweek in the round ahead against Middlesbrough and Huddersfield.

Huddersfield sit 22nd in the Championship and have struggled to string together a positive set of results. In fact, in their last 10 matches they have lost five, drawn two and won three. In that same period they have also kept just two clean sheets whilst failing to score in three.

Middlesbrough are in considerably better form, winning seven of their last 10 matches and losing three. However, they have also kept just two clean sheets but only failed to score in one of those 10 matches. The potential is there for Blackpool and what is even more significant is that they also have another double Gameweek scheduled for Gameweek 33.

There has been some rotation at Blackpool whilst also picking up injuries. However for managers looking into the backline it could be a good move to select goalkeeper Maxwell (£4.4m) or defender Connolly (£4.6m) , the latter sits as their second highest scoring GAFFR player this season.

In attack striker Yates (£5.7m) has hit a huge 112 points in GAFFR this season, scoring nine goals and creating two assists.

Huddersfield

Huddersfield have a double Gameweek in the round ahead. This makes them a lot more appealing as a fantasy manager and boosts the potential of their assets. They are struggling to maintain consistency this season, however so are their upcoming opponents.

QPR and Blackpool lay ahead for Huddersfield. QPR have won one of their last 10 competitive matches, losing five and drawing four. In that same period they have also kept just two clean sheets and failed to score in half of those same games.

Blackpool are also struggling for form. In their last 10 matches they have also just won once. They have lost five and drew four. In the same period Blackpool kept just one clean sheets and failed to score in three of the the same 10.

The above suggests that Huddersfield could take advantage of their opponents torrid form and managers may well benefit from investing in both their defensive and offensive assets. Managers could look at wingback Lowton (£5.7m) who spent most of his career at Burnley in the Premier League. Others could choose to secure centre back Helik (£5.7m) who has surpassed 100 points already this season in GAFFR and also scored in one of his most recent matches.

In terms of attack, many could include midfielder Holmes (£5.6m) who has collected two goals in his last four league matches. Most managers could be looking to striker Rhodes (£5.9m) especially after the news that Sunderland’s Stewart (£6.7m) will be out for the rest of the season.

Bradley Dack

Blackburn may be struggling for results lately but they have still scored in nine of their last 10 matches. They face a Wigan side next who have won just once in the same period whilst also losing six of their previous 10 games

What is significant is that Blackburn also have a good double Gameweek in Gameweek 33 against Swansea and Blackpool, making them potentially a good side to invest in. Midfielder Dack (£6.5m) is in fine form, scoring three goals and creating one assist in his last five matches in all competitions. Dack sits at a nice price and in great form could be a great addition, making him one of the top picks for Gameweek 30.

Elijah Adebayo

Luton have been in great form lately, turning their season on its head by reaching seventh place in the league. Their recent results have been positive and what is even more appealing is that they have scored two or more goals in seven of their last 10 matches.

One of the biggest contributors to the Luton goals is Elijah Adebayo (£7.5m). The striker has netted in his last four back-to-back matches, hitting a fantastic period of form. He faces a poor Cardiff side that have failed to win a single competitive game in their last 10. Luton also have a very appealing double Gameweek in Gameweek 33. For those reasons Adebayo eases into the top picks for Gameweek 30.

Chuba Akpom

We have already seen that Middlesbrough have bagged a huge seven wins in their last 10 matches. In addition, they have also scored two or more goals in a huge six in the same period. They have a fixture against strugglers Blackpool who have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10.

For those that do not have striker Chuba Akpom (6.4m) now could be a good time. In his last 10 matches Akpom has hit a whopping eight goals, highlighting the incredible form the forward is in. With form and fixture, Akpom has to be considered amongst the top picks for Gameweek 30.
