Highest point scorers in FPL Gameweek 20

Last modified date

The latest round of Premier League football is still live but we can look back and reflect on the top 10 highest point scorers in FPL Gameweek 20 so far. We examine how some those players picked up their points whether it be through goals, assists, clean sheets or save points.

Taking a peek at the highest point scorers in FPL Gameweek 20 is a great way to understand how the round went. Monitoring the best assets every Gameweek could help in noticing patterns of form which can then aid with transfers and captaincy decisions moving forward.

Solly March

It was an eventful weekend in the Premier League and one of the shocks of the week came between Liverpool and Brighton as the latter dismantled their opponent 3-0. One player who contributed massively towards that was the highest scoring player in FPL this week so far, Solly March (£5.1m).

March managed to pick up an incredible 19-point haul against Liverpool. His points consisted of two goals, one assist and all three bonus. With good fixtures and multiple options in the Brighton front line, many could be seriously considering him moving forward.

James Ward-Prowse

The second highest scoring player of the Gameweek so far was James Ward-Prowse (£6.2m). Southampton went into their game against Everton needing points and things didn’t look good when they went 1-0 down but their star player was instrumental in turning the game on its head.

James Ward-Prowse stunned his opponent as he scored two goals to take all three points. His performance resulted in a massive 15-point haul. The midfielder has bagged a return in four of his last five matches in FPL now and continues to fly under the radar in terms of ownership.

Leon Bailey

Aston Villa continue to improve under their new manager after securing a 2-1 win over Leeds. Contributing to both of those goals and collecting an impressive 12 points was Leon Bailey (£4.5m). The budget midfielder created an assist, scored a goal and hit two bonus to make him the joint third highest scoring player of the Gameweek so far.

Brennan Johnson

Matching Leon Bailey and joining him as the joint third highest scorer of the Gameweek was Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson (£5.6m). The Welsh striker scored both goals in their win against the struggling Leicester. Johnson bagged a massive 12-point return with the help of three bonus.

Emiliano Buendia

Aston Villa midfielder Emiliano Buendia (£5.7m) finishes off the top five highest scoring players. He returned a very strong 11-point haul for his goal and three bonus. Buendia helped his team secure three points making it two wins out of their last three matches for Aston Villa.

Who else made the top 10?
