Last modified date

We take a look at some of the best Gameweek 19 FPL community reactions from Twitter as the round plays out. With both positive and negative reactions to some of the key events including captaincy, transfers, minutes and overall performances.

Taking a look at Gameweek 19 FPL community reactions can help other FPL managers by highlighting things like player minutes, player form, team form and anything else that could have implications within our fantasy teams.

@FPLFella

Well respected Fantasy Premier League manager @FPLFella touched upon something incredibly frustrating this week. Many managers invested in Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez ahead of the good run of fixtures he had.

Unfortunately, Darwin Nunez failed to reach expectations in previous matches. The striker dominated big chances amongst all players in the league as of late but didn’t convert any. He picked up just one point in Gameweek 19, could managers now be looking to sell Nunez?

@FPLFalse9

@FPLFalse9 emphasised the importance of Manchester United’s Luke Shaw to owners within the FPL community. Manchester United have had a great run of fixtures recently which has led to a mass purchase of some of their players.

One of the most successful FPL players lately is Luke Shaw. The defender managed two back-to-back returns ahead of Gameweek 19. However it was the current round where Shaw really hit his potential. The defender hit a huge 15-point haul consisting of a goal, clean sheet and three bonus points.

Fantasy Football content creator Andy highlighted one of the most significant moments in Gameweek 19. Fulham faced a double Gameweek against Leicester and Chelsea this week and Aleksander Mitrovic was one of the most popular assets coming into the new round.

Many within the community chose to captain Mitrovic this week and it was a fantastic start for those managers as the striker scored early. However, the Serbian picked up his fifth yellow card of the season which meant he cannot feature in his second game of the week against Chelsea.

@FPLGoat7

Newcastle faced a meeting against league leaders Arsenal in Gameweek 19. This led to some managers benching one of the best assets in the game this season. At the time of writing, Newcastle defender Kieran Trippier sits as the second highest scoring player in FPL.

Trippier has been in relentless form this campaign. Ahead of the Arsenal match, the defender bagged five back-to-back returns in FPL, including three double-digit hauls. Trippier extended that fantastic run with another eight points against Arsenal for his clean sheet and two bonus.
