Being able to navigate around unavailable players is key to FPL success. Together with some useful Fantasy Football Scout information, here is the current list of injuries and bans heading into Gameweek 17.


THE NOTABLE INJURIES AND BANS OF GAMEWEEK 17

ARSENAL

OUT:

Gabriel Jesus (knee) – Reports say it’s a three-month injury, keeping him out until March.

MAYBE:

Emile Smith-Rowe (groin) – After months out, he says his return will happen “hopefully by the first game after the World Cup.”

ASTON VILLA

OUT:

Diego Carlos (Achilles) – Out for a long time because he ruptured his tendon in Gameweek 2.

MAYBE:

Philippe Coutinho (muscle) – Unai Emery said he will not play until after the World Cup.

BOURNEMOUTH

MAYBE:

Neto (hamstring)

Lloyd Kelly (ankle)

BRENTFORD

OUT:

Kristoffer Ajer (knee)

MAYBE:

Pontus Jansson (hamstring) – Unsure how soon he’ll return after the World Cup.

Jakub Moder (knee) – Long spell on the sidelines after a serious injury from April.

Ben Chilwell (hamstring) – Graham Potter says “he’s still not team training”.

Armando Broja (knee) – Mid-season friendly injury is likely a season-ender.

Reece James (knee) – Has been seen in training

Kepa (foot) – Has been seen in training

CRYSTAL PALACE

OUT:

Marc Guehi (suspension) – 5th yellow card of the season, out for Gameweek 17.

MAYBE:

James McArthur (groin)

EVERTON

OUT:

James Garner (back) – He is “probably going to be back at the back end of January or early February.”

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (knee)

Andros Townsend (knee) – Nearing a return from his March ACL issue.

Ben Godfrey (leg) – Fractured his fibula in Gameweek 1.

Tyler Adams (suspension) – Red card, out for Gameweek 17.

Stuart Dallas (leg) – Long-term absence from last season.

MAYBE:

Patrick Bamford (groin) – Discomfort meant he didn’t play during Gameweeks 15 or 16.

Illan Meslier (illness) – Glandular fever means “it’ll be close” in regards to Gameweek 17.

Richarlison (hamstring) – Played with the injury for 84 minutes of World Cup quarter-final.
