World Cup Fantasy community reactions in Matchday 6

Last modified date

The World Cup is progressing! The semi-finals are underway and many within the community will be reacting to all of the key moments that have happened so far. We delve into Twitter and check out some of the best World Cup Fantasy community reactions in Matchday 6.

Checking out the community reactions in Matchday 6 can be really beneficial to World Cup Fantasy managers. Community reactions can highlight things like line-ups, performances and key moments that could have a major impact on our fantasy teams.

@FlapjackFpl

Fantasy Football Scout contributor and well respected Fantasy Football manager Flapjack is having a fantastic World Cup campaign. He is now up to 28th in the world which is an incredible feat considering the amount of managers playing.

One of the players Flapjack selected this week was Argentina striker Julian Alvarez. The Manchester City man has been Argentina’s second biggest goal threat after Lionel Messi. Alvarez managed a whopping 14 points for his two goals, penalty earned and two shots on target, helping Flapjack to a brilliant start to the Matchday.

@ZhouFPL

Fantasy Football content creator and community favourite Joe highlighted the World Cup Fantasy output of Argentina striker Lionel Messi. Messi has been fantastic so far and has also been an easy selection in terms of captaincy.

Many managers chose to back against Messi for captaincy this week and were punished. The striker has contributed a return in every Matchday so far and continued that great run against Croatia where he bagged a goal and an assist, totalling 10 points for the round.

@DonieFpl

Well rounded Fantasy Football talent Donie continues to have an amazing campaign in World Cup Fantasy. At the time of writing, Donie ranks 10th in the world which is another jaw-dropping feat by a Twitter community member.

Donie planned to bring in Croatian midfielder Ivan Perisic ahead of Matchday 6. Unfortunately, like many, Donie may have been disappointed as Croatia slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Argentina with Perisic failing to return any significant points.

@FPLReaction

Fantasy Football Scout and Fantasy Football Community contributor Louis also highlighted something important. Many managers within the World Cup Fantasy community backed the Argentina defence quite heavily.

Argentina put in a perfect performance as they won the match whilst also keeping the clean sheet. One of the favourable assets backed was Nahuel Molina who hit six points whilst goalkeeper Emi Martinez also banked the clean sheet and picked up seven points.
