Most bought and sold FPL assets for Gameweek 5

Last modified date

Watching the transfer market is one of the biggest parts of FPL management. This is especially true in the early parts of the season. Ensuring that your players don’t drop in price and cost you team value is key. We assess the transfer market and the most bought and sold FPL assets for Gameweek 5.

Players rise and fall in price in FPL based on the number of transfers in or out they have. Here we look at who are the most bought and sold FPL assets ahead of the deadline.

Top transfers in

After a hattrick in Gameweek 4 Haaland is the most transferred in player ahead of Gameweek 5 so far. Haaland is the top scoring player in the game. He currently has 41 FPL points. Since Saturday’s deadline Haaland has over 520,000 new managers. Man City and Haaland face Nottingham Forest in Gameweek 5. Haaland’s new managers will be hoping he avoids the Pep roulette in the midweek action.

After his brace Luis Diaz is the second most popular transfer ahead of the Gameweek 5 deadline. Luis Diaz returned 15 points in Gameweek 4. Liverpool and Luis Diaz face Newcastle at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

Gross, Odegaard and Saliba make up the top five most transferred in players after they all returned in Gameweek 4.

Top transfers out

After missing Gameweek 4 through injury Zinchenko is currently the most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 5. He has been sold by over 621,000 managers.

Liverpool’s Mo Salah is the second most transferred out player ahead of Gameweek 5. Salah failed to return in Saturday’s 9-0 victory over Bournemouth. As a result over 392,000 managers have sold the most expensive asset in the game. However they may regret the decision as Salah was top for expected goal underachievers in Gameweek 4. This means he should have returned FPL points for his managers.

Canelo and Son both blanked in Gameweek 4 and they are now the third and fourth most sold assets respectively. Like Zinchenko, Zaha also missed Gameweek 4 through injury. He is the fifth most popular transfer out. Over 220,000 managers have sold the Palace midfielder.
